Ballast Point Tasting Room & Kitchen

This place is AWESOME!! If you like beer it is a MUST in SD. Over 40 selections of THEIR OWN brews. The mango , peach , & habanero are incredible!! Some very nice porters , stouts , the IPAs incredible.

This was a walk from where we were staying in Little Italy, but worth it to try some of their special one-offs that you can't get in most other places. I wish we could have gone back for more.

Order first at the bar and then (try to) snag a seat. Fantastic selection of taps (as expected), but you can’t go wrong with the classic Sculpin or the now-canonical grapefruit .

Small intimate space with nice atmosphere and great food. Go for the prix-fixe option with beer parings but be sure not to miss the Tasting Room beer exclusives!

I'm not an avid beer drinker but I Love the taste of the beers here! They let you taste test before settling with one. Food here is great! Seating on the other hand is limited when it's busy.

For some reason they close the outdoor patio at 9:30p on a Friday night...that's the only minus I experienced here. Friendly staff , delicious beers , great spot for gatherings.

Tip the staff well .. it will pay off! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and will help you with any questions! They're just great period! Try the grilled cheese .. it's amazballs!

Starting to get quite busy so expect some lines , but the crew is efficient and gets beer out quickly. While there grab the burger it's pretty good.

Get a flight (4 tastings 4oz each) for $8. Best deal and definitely one of my favorite hometown/SD beers .

Oh hell yes. A multitude of beers and good food?! Why would you go anywhere else? Get the tacos . On point.

Great brews though they sadly don't do tours . Get the sampler and take it from there - be sure to have at least one pint of the Sculpin though ???? SO good for the soul.

The Bleu Burger is quite awesome. Ballast Point is in my opinion the best craft brewery in San Diego. Awesome place. It's my second time here

You could spend hours with the tap list and TVs . Great for a fun night out, or a beer-filled lunch .

Line was out the door on a Friday night but we went to the back bar and we're able to get served right away. Awesome beer of course.

Make sure to grab a bar seat ... Sure way to ask the bartender what's good and learn their faves. Diggin the habanero beer !

The truffle fries are generous and delicious. I highly recommend them to accompany any drink order!

It was my first time at this location. Wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be on a Friday night. Parking was ok. When inside, it didn't take long to grab a drink. Great service. IPA ALL THE WAY!!!

Go for the 3 tasters for 5 bucks. Great way to try the many excellent brews on tap .

Order food in the back at the kitchen & beer at the bar . Luckily your tab is accessible at either.

Excellent beer , must try some of the blends. Stamfish was off the charts delicious.

Found their draft selections to be far superior than their bottled product in stores. Try a flight or two.

Ask for the Seva specials. (#1, gnocchi with short rib , #2, pickled beet salad with seared albacore .) Both are life changing!

Try the Big Eye-- a mix of Big Eye IPA and a porter . The flavor comes in waves of hoppy then sweet then hoppy.

Give the R&D brews a shot. Good was amazing. The Thai Tomato Soup was outstanding.

The flights are awesome and served beautifully. Last time we were there we had some pretty bangin' calamari .

Had a really good fish taco and very good Bread Pudding beer .

Mondays are $10 burger nights which include a production beer and a side. Get it.
