It's not the prettiest pub but the locals and staff are very friendly and it's a dog friendly pub !
Always a student favourite.. Fairly good, decently priced food (kitchen closes at 9:30pm). Has a fairly standard selection of beer at normal prices. Gets packed for trashioke on Thursdays.
All the pub fare is excellent. Big servings .
The steak special, at medium rare, is quite good for the price.
New fancier menu - pricier but it's probably worth it.

Nice cost beer garden . Steak n chips is my fav although they tend to over cook the meat. Med/rare = med/well
