Stunning! Come early, the place gets too crowded around 12pm. They offer free tours at 10am, 10:30, 1pm, 1:30pm after you enter the palace . Would definitely try that if I had known that they’re free!
A very old historic tourist spot must visit when you're in Krung Thep ( Bangkok). For your information, Very strict on dressing . So must dress properly & neat, NO short pant, slipper, T-shirt etc etc
This place is amazing but full with tour groups. Get there as early as possible. Be on the lookout for people outside who say “the palace is closed” or “the palace doesn’t open until 10” —scammers!
You can no longer rent a pair of long trousers but you have to buy them for 200 baht, before entering. Great souvenir to take home and it wairs very comfortable .
Most beutifull Royal Palace of Thailand and showing the unique Rattanakosin Architect and building Art Works. A must place to visit and with Temple of the Emerald Buddha with in the same Compound.
Get there early and make sure both males and females are covered up or they won’t let you in. 500 THB entry. Use river boat to get there as cheap (15THB). Impressive and definitely worth the visit.
Lots and lots and lots of spectacular buildings. Steaming hot in a sunny day. Don't miss out the museum near the entrance !
Definitely try to follow the map if you can. We managed to get lost three times and if you follow the map (provided in many languages) then you can know what each place means. Wear long pants & shirt .
Very impressive! A must visit place in Bangkok. A whole page of history to discover. Arrive early to fully enjoy and avoid the crowds. Un de mes coups de coeur de la Thaïlande
Buy tickets online at https://www.royalgrandpalace.th/en/home then skip queuing in the hot sun and collect at the online booking counter.
This was an stunning first contact with the Eastern culture, religion and architecture . There are no words to describe it, you simply have to go and see it for yourself.
Duck into the Royal Treasures & Coins museum if you need to cool off from the Bangkok heat (great AC !). Otherwise enjoy exploring the beautiful grounds!
Although worthwhile to visit given the neighboring Wat (contained in the same complex), the Palace itself is entirely restricted and (funny enough) mostly of European architecture .
Splendid place to visit (it's a must in Bangkok) but the tour can be unpleasant when there's too many people. 500 baht per person, totally worth it!
A must visit! B500 entry. No lines at ticket office but hot and crowded with tour groups in the afternoon. Wear long trousers/full length skirt and Tshirt that covers shoulders. A shawl isn’t enough
This is a huge complex of buildings that has served kings since the 18th century. Don't miss the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew and the impressive architecture of the Chakri Mahaprasad Hall.
Magnificent architecture !! But make sure to follow the dress code if you want your entrance to be hassle-free. Also, keep hydrated it's very hot and full of people.
Must Do attraction in Bangkok - simply stunning once inside. Take your time as plenty to see. Choose a sunny day for the best photos - makes a massive difference
Beware of those people telling you that can go in after 13:00 or 14:00 o'clock with "free style" clothing and propose you to take a tuk tuk ride. In fact, strictly No shorts or sexy clothing !
Entry fee is 500 baht which I felt too much. Excellent architecture . Very colorfull. There is dress code to visit this palace .
Beautiful architecture and very well preserved. Please come early to avoid disappointment.Tiket sales is at B500/pax.Try avoid this place if you can't stand a very crowded place.Pls bring ur own H2O.
Looking to see something truly stunning? You’re in the right place! With its beautiful architecture , the Grand Palace is a must see.
Must visit while in Bangkok, worth the THB 300 entrance fee. Come before the crowd around 8:30am
Best to wear long pants/skirt, shirt with sleeves and shoes/sandals. No shorts , three quarter pants, tights, spaghetti straps, see-through outfits, revealing outfits, slippers.
The dress code is very strict. If you wear pants make sure they cover your ankles. Strip pants are not allowed or else you have to borrow their pha toong. Borrowing is free all you need is 200b deposi
A must place where you have to visit while staying in BKK. Don't miss pay respect Emerald Buddha & admire Asian architect. They are very very strict on dressing . Make sure to properly dress up.
If you are taken by a Tuk Tuk don't get ripped of! 20 Baht per person is what you should spend the most for a 2-3hour trip through the area!
A hefty 500-baht entrance fee might set you aback, but once inside you will be mesmerized by its grandeur. Wear proper clothing , and stay hydrated all throughout your stay here!
There's a white wall surrounding the palace , so while you can peek at parts of the palace through the gates, you're better off spending the 500 baht for admission. The dress code is stricter here.
Don't listen to people telling you can go in after 13:00 or 14:00 o'clock and propose you take a tuk tuk ride! There is an entrance for non Thai people and a fee of 500 tbh. They give clothes there.
A must visit site while in Bangkok. Amazing buildings and do prepare umbrella, hat, sunglass and your sunblock. Dress properly since it is a holy place for Thais
If there is one must-see sight that no visit to Bangkok would be complete without, it's the dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace , undoubtedly the city 's most famous landmark .
If you're not wearing proper attire, you can borrow polo and long pants before entering the complex. But the clothing comes in one size only, which can be too big or too small for your body type.
The Grand Palace features some of the most spectacular architectures in Asia. a very best temple in Bangkok
Impressive visit. You don’t need a guide.
Must wear long pants . Can rent clothing at the entrance , you leave money but it's refunded when you bring clothes back!
AMAZING! Absolutely stunning place. Beware of ANYONE that approaches you at the entrance , ignore them they don't work for the grand palace . Staff do not take breaks and you rent trousers inside.
Bet crowded , but if in Bangkok don't miss this place. It's beautiful!
Watch out for the scam 'the temples closed, let me take you in my tuk-tuk to a temple that is open'. Ignore them the palace is open from 8:30 to 17:00 daily.
If you’re coming with a shoulder free top , you have to borrow a shirt there. Rather expensive entry fee and will get crowded fast. But you can take unique photos there!
The most spectacular Buddhist architecture can be found at Wat Pra Kaeo (Temple of Emerald Buddha ). It contains more exquisite carvings and decorations per square centimetre than any comparable sites.
You must visit this historical place when you are in BKK ! Don't miss to take a few postcards photos.
I would suggest a hat/umbrella, sunglasses, sunblock and bottle of water before coming. Add in packs of patience to deal with the packs of loud Mainland China tourists
Worth going. Ticket is THB500. At the entrance of the compound, before ticket booth , security will be checking on the way you are dressed . Dress conservatively.
The palace has been the official residence for Kings of Siam since 1782 to 1925. It is still being used as for royal ceremonies. Strict dress code , no tub tops, shorts , flip flops & short skirts .
The place is instagram friendly , but if you go alone without tour guide, dont ever trust a stranger saying the place are close or whatsoever. Just go inside, find the open gate and buy the ticket.
Atention! There's a lot of people outside the palace who aproaches turists saying that they work there and that it opens only after 1PM and sugest U to do something else. That's not true! Turist trap!
YES, you CAN use sandals or slippers (like Havaianas). But you have to wear pants and cover your shoulders. Don't trust anyone saying that the Grand Palace is closed, as everyone said here: scams
amazing, breath-taking, take bottled water as it gets hot, dress appropriately to view the emerald buddha .
Must be seen, ladies shall have covered cloths . 500 bht entrance fee. Be noted it has two other tickets attached. Make sire to use them as well
