Recent renos have left this one of the greatest university art museums & a great museum complex in its own right. New spaces for modern/ contemporary are lavish with great works. Roof spaces terrif.

Don't miss the 4th floor sculpture terrace for a breath of fresh air and sweeping views of New Haven. On Thursday nights when the Gallery is open until 8pm, enjoy the sunset . Magical!

For free, you can see beautiful and famous art by the likes of Monet, Hopper, O’Keeffe, so many more. Plus, they always have excellent exhibits — for instance, one on now for Year of the Dragon.

This collection would be insane in any world city and here it is, free in New Haven! Be sure to join a “tour ” for a fascinating and fun discussion of extremely interesting works.

What a wonderful museum , quality in every corner. Such an extended collection. And quite large too. Worth your while!

This gallery is not only free, but a friend and I agreed that some of the pieces in this collection rival the pieces in the Boston MFA. And did I mention it's FREE?

One of CT's world class museums . And FREE. A wide variety of exhibits from ancient to modern. Think of it as a mini MET, without the crowds and easier parking .

This place is any historians dream! Check out the ancient artifacts and unique paintings . Just note: if you grab coffee before hand they won't let you bring it in.

Free admission ! The temporary Ross collection is amazing. The permanent collections are also amazing.

Mind your step. Colonel John Trumbull and his wife are resting beneath the portrait of Washington, not under the tombstone where the Roman sculptures are!

You will be amazed and surprised by the amount of Art Yale possess.

The Ross collection is amazing and on display for a short time.

Make sure to visit the Kahn space as well as the older spaces. Physical context can make such a difference in how you experience art .

One of the best college art museum in the country

If you're departing from Union Station and have an hour to kill, take a metro cab over to see the art . Admission is free, and the cab is $7-8.

Second Sunday of the month from 1-2 is Stories and Art . Great for young kids and families! And free.
