A smaller zoo that still offers quite a few things to see. Allow half a day to see the entire zoo , longer if you stay for shows or summer events . Brand new Africa exhibit opened recently.
I have grown up in Rochester and the zoo is always fun! Grounds are very clean and there are lots of animals to see! It's even great to visit in the winter!!
Excellent small zoo ! Be sure to check out the new "Africa" exhibit with lions , elephants, goats , and more! Plus go "behind the scenes" of the primate exhibits with reptiles & meerkats (my fave)!
The new Out of Africa exhibit is fantastic. It's better than zoos in major cities . ????
Become a member and visit all year round. The animals are livelier in the mornings around 10AM or so... near feeding time.
