Gatlin's BBQ

Best thing to know is that this is one of the few quality BBQ options in Houston for the dinner hour. Ribs and moist brisket are king here. Dirty rice as one of your sides is a must.

Brisket is very good. The wait can be long and sometimes they seem unorganized but it's great BBQ . One of the best in Houston. I don't miss the long lines at the old place!

Basically, everything is delicious. I like the Old South Combo, and the Mac and cheese is amazing!

Good barbecue sauce is a 10 on the spicy side but still real good. I still like the atmosphere and the feel of the old location versus the new upscale hipper location.

Sadly Gatlins struggles with the core components of brisket and ribs . People praise them, but my multiple visits haven't been very good.

It feels like a chain but the wet brisket is delicious. The secret though? Venison sausage . Get it.

I ordered the ribs and brisket and it was amazing . I was very impressed by the creamed corn .! It is a must try.

Waited 40 minutes for food to come out. After second trip to the counter, we were told that (contrary to the availability board) they were out of beef ribs , so they just held up the entire order.

It's good but maybe they should turn the ac down because the food gets super cold really fast.
