My favorite coffe on the planet. For an introduction, get a cup of the Turkish (medium cream, medium sweet) and make sure to have them add a sprig of mint .
They make sure you get the right coffee you want. It is consistent with other Philz coffee locations and has a high activity of patrons inside and out. The only downside is finding parking .
Great Atmosphere and VERY good, strong, flavorful coffee !!! My favorite is the Mint Mojito Iced Coffees ! Just enough caffeine to keep me awake for hours! Just can't get enough! <3
Nice people. Prefer the Ecstatic iced black to really appreciate the flavor of unpolluted/undiluted coffee . Must get a chocolate Kouign-Amann warmed up; one of the best things I've ever eaten. 5/5
Phil Jaber had a dream and a vision: “It all started with a dream to create a really great cup of coffee personalized for you.” According to the free market he has succeeded beyond his wildest dream.
I liked the coffee (Indonesian single origin beans ) and sweats they have.. but they doesn't have toilet ! So be careful with your coffe cup size=))
Indonesian single origin beans as an iced pour over has a smooth medium body with sweet milk chocolate body that has hints of bitter earth tones, somewhat like licorice , that hit the side of tongue .
Red Velvet mixes Red Sea (not listed on menu) and Silken Splendor beans. Dark smoky from Sea is acidic in this blend. Emphasis on dark oily flavors. Sweet mud pie comes to mind. Nutty & body centric.
Brita is an iced coffee that blends the Philtered Soul and Dancing Water beans. The combo creates a large dark chocolate mouth with a complex deep body of clean earth and smoky hazelnut tones.
Try the campfire ! I'm not sure if every store knows it but the one in paseo plaza does and it's delicious! It's three different coffee blends with mocha powder and cinnamon ! Give it a try!
Iced Mint Mojito - sweet and creamy! Perfect summer pick me up if you’re into coffee !
The place to grab a cup of coffee before dragging yourself to class at SJSU. The iced ecstatic is my usual and always delicious.
Anesthesia to the Upside- this medium roast has a spike of clean , fresh, enjoyable metallic tones. The transience of the flavor is a pleasant, refreshing contrast to lingering dark roasts .
Small and cozy place with super friendly staff . Get the Mint Mojito . It’s really good.
Canopy of Heaven has a bitter earthy body with lots of acidity. The acid flavors activate the back and side of the tongue . The combo of earthy & acidic tones creates a radish flavor or lemon broccoli .
I know it sounds gross...but omg...it was the best coffee everr!! Ok so u know when the pot has a little bit of coffee left?...well instead of pouring it out they save it and u get a cup of mixed gold
Very unlike any coffee shop I've been too. Get in line to order your coffee first, then join the queue to pay. So many blends and roasts. Bit overwhelming at first.
ALERT! NO TOILET ! Keep this in mind before you have too much coffee . Love how the barista asked me how I like my MMIC and let me taste test before making it final. Try that at SBUX. Plus Amex bonus!
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe beans have a heavy mouth of both red grape and tangerine . The body is average, with dash of almond butter to please the throat, but the fruit tones of the cup are the highlight.
Hands down the iced mint mojito , along with a Philz bagel on their jalapeño-cheddar bagel with either cream cheese or humus .
The ecstatic ice coffees kept me, just over, perfectly caffeinated for four years. One of the only two places in San Jose where you can get a custom drip.
Aromatic Arabic has no after taste. True to its name, the initial flavor blows the flag of your pallet with equal parts chalky, subdued cacao and earthy, ginger-blanched beet concentrate.
Ether is subject to extra roasting time, so the tones are smoky, sweet focused in the body of the cup. The flavors present are green grape , chocolate and burnt clove .
For a really nice rich, dark coffee , try the Turkish with cream and no sugar. Mint Mojito is great on a hot day.
The 'Tantalizing Turkish' has an interesting cardamon taste that is worth trying. The real highlight however is the 'Jacobs Wonderbar Brew', an excellent dark coffee .
If you know you're going to get philz, I recommend downloading the orderahead app to pre order your coffee .
Greater Alarm on the light roast menu is acidic and spicy . There are herbal notes and a pineapple and citrus flavors that hit the tip and back of the tongue .
Julie's Ultimate is, as the saying goes, the darkest roast I've had in a minute. The body is large with chocolate and peanut flavor.
Aside from the great coffee , they serve awesome hot chocolate . Consider getting extra sweet and creamy!
The iced mint mojito is definitely a must try..blew my mind and I don't even like mint !
Tis the season four Ecstatic iced coffee . This blend features a strong mouth feel of earthy tones to remind you that you're drinking coffee and not lemonade .
The beans are freshly roasted so they make great espresso in my home machine.
Try the ambrossia coffee of god for a light creamy weekend morning.
Mint Mojito and Tesora are the best here. Might have to wait compared to other chains but worth it.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops . You get individual interaction with the barista! Also, they have great breakfast burritos!
Silken splendor , Silken Soul for mediums. Soooo Good & Greater Alarm (this one is caffeine crack in a cup!). All made by Arielle, the best barista.
The chocolate flavor in Jacobs Wonderbar is a complimentary tone- mostly an aftertaste, but it knocks around the bitter initial tones to give the blend a lasting contour.
Super helpful baristas, coffee easy to personalize-from black to sweet&creamy (the sweetest)
Try the Iced Ecstatic if you're in the mood for a chiller or the Jacobs Wonderbar if you're up for something steamy!
Dancing Waters and Tesora are my favs this month! Jacobs wonderbar is so good too... No bad coffee at Philz!!!
Everything is good, some of the best coffee without a doubt! Please expand to the east coast! =(
The people were nice but its really busy in the morning. The patrons ate a little rude in the morning. Order ahead is a great app if you dont want to wait in line .
Great selection of different beans from dark to light; perfect with soy milk
Very crowded but it's worth it! They brew each coffee individually, it's very good!
Everything you've heard is true -- the iced mint mojito lives up to its hype.
Definitely the best coffee in San Jose. No espresso drinks , just coffee , but delicious. The iced mint mojito is great.
Once you try the iced ecstatic you'll be hooked! I have a hard time getting anything else even when it's cold outside.
Not surprisingly the "Sooo good" good is so good! Especially with a philz bagel . Switched up from my reg mint mojito
I was envious of the people using OrderAhead to...order ahead. But don't be intimidated by the line - they are fast. Just go.
Broke away from my usual Philharmonic and had the Code 33 for the first time. It's my new favorite.
Try the new drinks..you will NOT be disappointed. My favorite so far is the Orange Spiced Black Coffee. - Geli C
Awesome coffee. Love the Vietnamese coffee as well! - Ryan Tamares
Almond Americano is to die for.. Extra room.. A little cream.. - Stacy Dickinson
Freshly baked almond croissant :) pair it with a creamy latte! - Francesca Hernandez
Everyone comes for burritos, but their tacos are also fantastic (and huge!) - Nicole P
Fantastic high end shopping. Great food choices as well! - SityGrl ✈️☕️????
