Smokey Ds BBQ

Potato casserole + ribs + burnt ends sandwich = best combo ever. I ate at this place during a road trip from Michigan to California. It was right along the way, and only a couple minutes from the I-80

If you need to feed a small group, make it easy and order the whole pit. Has all the meats and 3 pints of sides. Says it will feed 4-6 ppl, but that's very hungry people so be prepared for leftovers

Love the bbq ribs and smoked sausage . For sides, the cucumber and onion slaw and the mac and cheese . Cheese curds are good too.

There are a lot of great BBQ places in the metro, with great ribs , but the ribs here are the BEST. Score yourself the potato casserole as the top side.

Its intense, but the Farm Boy is a must try. Expect it to feed 4-6 people. Its a pork tenderlioin with white gravey covered with spud sticks shredded cheese and bacon . Comes on a pizza pan.

Best BBQ joint in Des Moines in my opinion, and Des Moines has a lot of good ones.

Was terrified at first sight of my burnt ends sandwich--large cubes of meat that I was sure would wear out my jaw long before I could finish it. I couldn't have been more wrong. Tender and tasty.

Only been there once, but less than impressed with the brisket and chopped pork . Very little smoke flavor in either of the meats. The sauces are excellent, and beans are quite good.

We love Smokey D's, it is the best of the best in everything BBQ !!!

You can never go wrong with the Burnt Ends , Ribs and their Mac & Cheese . You'll never be disappointed!

So good! The Mac and cheese is my favorite thing, I could eat a billion side orders of it!

Get the brisket sandwich with spud sticks with ranch and an apple dumpling for dessert . Must use sassy sauce for brisket sandwich .

Amazing ribs , great drink prices, top of the line service. Seriously one of my new favorite restaurants .

If you can tear yourself from the BBQ , the pulled pork nachos are incredible, and enough to feed six!

Some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. The smoked wingers are also a must try!

Ribs were greasy, burnt ends tasted like leftovers that were reheated! We’ve been there a dozen times, it was always great!

Smoked Turkey is amazing. Big fan of the x-fiery BBQ sauce and baked beans as well . Their parking is terrible though.
