Excellent brunch at a reasonable price. Definitely get migas and a white sangria (superior to bloody Mary's ). The gazpacho (pictured) has plenty of crab and Avocado
Head to this cozy Cobble Hill restaurant for standout dishes that include the anchovies with sesame and hazelnuts , the stuffed rabbit loin, the lamb meatballs , and the seafood-studded fideua . Read more
Rabbit loin, fried chick peas , whatever fish they have, lamb meatballs ,and just ask them to pick you a few more dishes; you'll need probably 5-7 plates for 2. Finish with the olive oil ice cream .
Had a tasting menu which was amazing have to go back for ala carte plates. The raw scallop dressed in a decadent gazpacho placed in its own shell- blew my mind!
What a treasure! Enjoyed a fantastic family style meal here at one of the huge window booths . Everything was delicious - with suckling pig the star- and staff super knowledgeable friendly and chill
Fantastic food and service. 5 plates and a dessert was the perfect portion for 2, and meal was well paced. Try: eggplants , fideua , duck breast . Will be back to try the suckling pig .
Lucky Peach : "Evenings can get busy, so make a reservation or go earlyish and sit at the bar with a glass of cold vermouth , or maybe some txakoli, to start you off."
really excellent food. get at least one dish from each section of the menu for the full experience (all are sized for sharing). the suckling pig is usually a special but OMG, that shit cray.
Delicious tapas in a perfect Brooklyn setting. The Mallorcan flatbread & paella were highlights, but I don't think you can go wrong with anything here!
Our very favorites are the Brick de Acelgas (Bundles of Swiss Chard , Kale , Pine Nuts , & Currants), Molletes (Sevillan Pita with Bacon Paprika Stew ), & the Cordero Al Ajo Cananil (Cumin Roasted Lamb )!
Very good, interesting food. The fried eggplant was delicious, paella , lamb meatballs . Really all was great. Don't forget the desserts - the almond cake and olive oil ice cream , yum!
Great atmosphere, great tapas . Things to try: stuffed rabbit loin, seafood paella , sobrasada & honey on charred bread , soft shell crab , lamb meatballs , leek & celery croquettes .
Still my favorite restaurant in the area. Every dish I try is amazing and the staff are all on top of their game. Always get the special of the day (it never fails).
Gorgeous food. Croqueta del dia (salt cod ), noodle paella , pasta , and a shrimp special were all great. Great wine . Crispy eggplant was least fav. Very small plates fyi.
For two, six plates is a good place to start. For someone like me, those six plates are mine. An underrated sherry list rounds out an awesome small plates menu; gun for specials.
Imagine ordering lamb from the best Halal cart in the city . Amp up the quality and flavor by 10x and then you've got the lamb breast. Order it after you've gobbled down the fried artichokes !
Back for brunch again. U need the fried chickpeas and croquetas . So many egg options. Bloody Mary is swell too
Serves small plates of fried eggplant with honey and nigella seeds, roasted suckling pig that slides right off the shank bone, and wild salads of salt cod and pomegranate seeds Read more
Charming restaurant plays with Spain's forgotten flavors.Small plates of fried eggplant with honey and nigella seeds & wild salads of salt cod and pomegranate seeds.Critics' choice for best Tapas bar !
Amazing food and friendly service . The pane with spreadable sausage and honey is unreal. Suckling pig is a must and any of the specials they announce when you visit.
It doesn't matter what you get, it's all good. But by god, get the fried chickpeas to start.
get the fideua -- it's excellent. also the eggplant and honey . save room for dessert , namely the almond cake and olive oil ice cream .
Yummy wine , excellent tuna & radicchio salad . Awesome service, small & perfect for date night , or a fun night out with friends. Ask for the big table in the window if you have a group.
This place is totally dreamy. Everything is worth trying, and all comes flying out of the kitchen at warp speed. The suckling pig made me feel like a 3 year old eating my first hot fudge sundae .
Alex Raij, who single-handedly popularized tapas in New York at the West Chelsea gallery haunts she founded (Tia Pol, El Quinto Pino, Txikito), has opened a restaurant that is equally sophisticated.
Brunch and dinner are equally fantastic. For brunch , try the poached egg over lamb hash or the french toast . Start the meal with the fried chickpeas and the potatas bravas .
Amazing place for brunch ! Great and very unique Spanish tapas . The shrimp avocado salad , papas fritas and local squid and poached egg are very good. The skate sandwich will melt in your mouth.
A mix of communal tables and small-tops set the scene for crowd-pleasing paella , generous sangria pours, and Spanish classics with a mediterranean twist.
So fantastic- favorites were the migas arongonesas and the gurullos. But it's all amazing. Order tapas style and share everything.
i get why this place is michelin rated. insane flavor profiles and perfect portions. pretty cheap for lunch , too
Great tapas bar . We ordered about 12-14 dishes for the four of us and honestly everything was outstanding
Get the garbanzos, the anchovies , the meatballs , the butifarra, and of the panes, should I keep going? This place never disappoints!
La Vara’s menu is a tribute to the imprint of Jews and Arabs on the kitchens of Spain. What could have been an esoteric history lesson turned out to offer a fresh take on a cuisine
Make sure to get there early or make a reservation . This place is one of the best in the neighborhood and everyone knows it.
Little gem tucked away in Brooklyn. Great food! The only downside was that we had to wait an hour and half for our reserved table.
The best tapas I've had in the city thus far. Croquetas and "spreadable" chorizo are out of this world.
Wow. Tough to get a table but it's worth it for the authentic Spanish cuisine that made us nostalgic for Barcelona. The chickpeas , fideua paella , crispy suckling pig . Also, El Arrako = amazing drink.
Chard bundles would not typically be something I order but when they come wrapped in fried dough-amazing. And the fried eggplant while really just honey and cheese is so good!
Extremely rich food here, but everything is great, skip the Sangria , go for the artichokes
"Explores the Jewish and Moorish side of Spanish cooking...new and exciting dishes. It’s located on the most ridiculously picturesque block in all of Brooklyn." <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://buff.ly/VKX2eM"target="_blank" data-sig="YvRr4T8/G0NIIU2C1npbaNaF4ew=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">http://buff.ly/VKX2eM</a>
Alex Raij and Eder Montero have opened this Cobble Hill spot. The menu (think Mallorcan flatbread and eggplant with honey ) riffs on Spain's Moorish and Jewish legacies. Read more

Fried eggplant is unlike anything ever tried. Delicious. From fried chickpeas , to the olives , to the sangria everything shines.
Loved the scallop/uni gazpacho (so creamy!), lamb breast, and suckling pig (so crispy !)
Favorite upscale restaurant in Brooklyn. Get the artichokes and scallops & die & go to heaven...
The fried eggplant dish with cheese and honey is incredible. Try the lamb meatballs as well !
Chick pea appetizer , croquetas , squid , and the fideua ????????
Fried artichokes , paella , anchovies , chicken hearts salad , sausage with white beans were all excellent !!
Must get the fried chickpeas and fried eggplant with honey . Also the chicken is a fantastic deal. Skip the iberico ham , not worth the price.
Great happy hour. Very niche menu, but great quality food and awesome martini. - Michael Anthony

Featuring modern day Tapas…small plates for all tastes. Plus specialty Cocktails, all on a new outdoor patio! - Taperia
Fantastic brunch, even better cocktails and ample seating make this place worth the trek if you are a non-Brooklynite. - Razorfish
Great little sleepy spot to grab a cocktail and some mac n' cheese. - Meg Lewis
Beyond incredible. Diggin the pistachio but, if you get a cone, you can have 1 scoop of 2 different flavors! - Zohray
