Located at the former Chong Cheng and Chong Pun schools at 28 Aliwal Street, AAC is a multi-disciplinary arts centre with a strong focus on performing arts. It offers a conducive environment to support the artistic development while drawing inspiration from the rich Kampong Glam cultural heritage.

The theatre is just in the middle of the Arts Centre. There is no foyer or holding area for the theatre and the main doors just open into the theatre . There are also 2 dressing rooms behind stage
