Great children’s space! It’s HUGE and has many great toys (big squishy blocks, math magnets, computers for KIDS, play trucks and planes , etc.). Great for a 6 month old and a 18 month old ;-)
This is my second home! SJSU students are lucky to have such an amazing library ! It definitely gets crowded during Final exams weeks (open 24hours for students only).
I mostly spend my time on fourth floor because I can eat before class . But 7 and 8th are very quiet and offer great views
Check out the SJSU Student Learning and Research Commons, a student-only study space , on the first floor of the library adjacent to the Children’s Room. Show your Tower Card to enter.
Go to the 8th floor and look for the tourist-like telescope and spy the peregrine falcons atop city hall ; also chek out beethoven's hair in archives/special collections on 5th floor (how appropriate)

Library opens from 8am to 6pm Mon-Fri, 9am- 6pm on Sat and 1pm- 5pm on Sun in summer. SJSU student extended hours: 6pm-8pm Mon- Wed

You are allowed to eat food on floors 1-4. They say it has to be snacks , covered food. Covered drinks are fine on all floors. not sure what policy they have on the lowel level LL.
Need as much silence as possible? Hit the 7th floor for the silent floor. (Why the silent floor is 7F and not 8F is beyond me, since 7F still has an open window into the noisy atrium.)

Parking is hard to find. Had to meter park across the street next to a frat house and the max time was only 1 hour :-(
