Roll down your back window as well so the border agents have a clear view inside your car. They appreciate it and it helps you move along faster. Always put you car in park when you stop by the agent.

Make sure you don't have a trunk full of items, they will ask you to pull over & then search your car. Otherwise the border patrol employees are super nice! Have your passport ready.

Get the bus to cross the tunnel (US $5), a quick pop in to the border office and you're in Windsor before you know it

$4 US or $4.75 Canadian. The Canadian dollar is currently at par or more than the US dollar ... collect your US pennies and use them for the toll. A much better deal. Currently, less than two twoonies

Don't forget to look for the line in the middle with the US and Canada flags. There's no guard , fence, or even a speed bump at the real border!

Try taking the Tunnel Bus . For 3.75$ leave from the Windsor Transit Terminal and head stateside for a hockey , football , or ball game !

Don't drive through during an earthquake. Accident caused me to be stuck for 25 minutes ...claustrophobia!
