unpretentious and pretty close to perfect: stumptown coffee , dynamo donuts , anthony's cookies , patio , wifi , bazillions of sandwiches under $10, reasonable hours, live music , beer , magazines, etc...
The 20th Street corridor may have exploded in 2013/14 but Atlas still thrives as a true neighborhood establishment. The back patio , the classic tuna sandwich , the reading rack; don’t pass this up.
Laid-back vibe with a mix of work and social. do as you wish. no one will mind. you'll see folks on laptops (mostly Mac), biz meetings, people reading actual books and magazines, and just hanging out.
Tasty salads , decent house wine , wifi and occasional live music . In all, a great place to work and take informal meetings - I meet over projects with friends here all the time.
Great cafe , casual vibes . There's an outdoor location in the back that I would check out. Large proportions, so you don't need order a lot. (Follow Instagram @foodaholic_anonymous for food tips + pic)
Atlas Cafe, in the Mission District of San Francisco, has found a way to combine yams , pickled red onions & feta cheese in a way that they can cohabit a toasted baguette without provoking a civil war. Read more
Good place to have a beer and work - specifically, get the ginger lemonade mixed with beer . Super refreshing.
Best tuna sandwich I've ever had. The tongol tuna uniquely (& expertly) includes currants, epazote and toasted pecans & is accompanied by seaweed . Yuuuum.
A perfect balance of everything I like in a coffee shop . They take coffee seriously, the music is good, the food is good, and there are comfortable places to read
A solid assortment of baked goods and a good list of salads / sandwiches . The free wifi and the patio are obviously the highlights of this coffee shop ! 👩🏼💻☀️
Get the simple but classic turkey , avocado , and bacon sandwich . It's a sandwich ! Eat it!
The food is fantastic. I love the toasted sandwiches , amazing vegan choices . The beet loaf for one. Great mellow lo-fi casual atmosphere . ❤️
Coffee , bagels , sandwiches and salads are great here. I like the pesto pizza and portobello sandwich . There's a small outdoor seating area in the back.
If you're looking for something with a kick, the Spicy Ginger Lemonade has your name on it. For those who like to play it a little safer, try The Dirty Bunny - it's the lemonade + iced tea .
Two types of SF cafes : hipster , foodie, and expensive ; or study-friendly, wifi , and hit and miss. Atlas is the latter - the Golden Beetloaf is a total hit, ambience is👌, and it was featured in Sens8!
Live music and a spacious patio make for an awesome place to work/read/hang on a sunny day. Stumptown coffee ! Try their half-beer half-lemonade drinks.
Sangria and asparagus sandwiches are here for the summer! Outlets inside by the corner, but if you're here Sunday you may have to move to make room for the folk band!
An amazing place to work - lots of outlets, tons of tables, a menu with actual food, and closes at 6!
Reminds me of fair grinds coffeeshop in New Orleans for some reason. Good coffee and great place to get work done.
The Golden Beetloaf is amazing! I'm trying to eat less meat and sandwiches like this make it easy.
Stumptown beans, but with sightglass across the street, can't imagine getting coffee here. Food is so-so, but I hear the trout bagel is really good.
Plugin to one of their many power outlets and get work done while sipping some delicious Stumptown coffee . Mmm!
Get the Golden Beetloaf and soy latte (free sub ). Go to the backyard garden to sit - TW
Great cafe but a little slow. Just had to leave to catch my train after waiting 15 mins for a bagel ... There was only one person making food and he had about 6 sandwiches to make ahead of me.
There's no way to eat all of your salad without consuming the paper (lining the basket) along with it. The dressing soaks it and bits tear off into your food. Order the Yam sandwich instead.
Cup of house made soup and a side salad = $4.89. Amazing deal!
Often overlooked, really lovely and tasty coffee . Unless you need it buffed with gold or something.
the sandwiches and pizzas are really really good.. nice spot to finish your day
The golden beet sandwich is worth the wait. The crispy grilled patty bits are the best.
Unpretentious and laid back . Live music & people reading or hanging out.
Calm location and great afternoon sun. Perfect place to relax .
Golden Beet Loaf is amazing even if you're not vegetarian .
On my laST breakfast before I head back home my friend recommended Atlas a spot i had actually been at before but since its been 5 years since i've been to SF it was kinda like the first time. Coffee Read more
A very cool place. People are nice and friendly . The outdoor garden place is nice.
Wifi is too flaky to be useful and comes with a maximum 2 hours use time, 500MB download and 64MB (!) upload limit. VPN disconnected every 2 minutes.
Stopped by for the bathroom which they provided without purchase. Thanks!
The Grilled Cuban beef sandwich is to die for.
most delicious cookies ! and great outdoor seating
The tuna salad is to die for
The beef "Cuban" isn't really a Cuban sandwich , but it is very tasty.
Great place to connect to wifi network that isn't connected to the Internet!
Good place to work , decent coffee . Otherwise not particularly inspired
Stumptown Moka + bacon & egg on a croissant or wheat toast = heaven.
Homemade soups , locally made treats, endless magazines. Pet a dog or a cute boy here, both in strong supply.
Smoked trout salad with red onions and toasted pecans
Lemonade and iced latte were v good.
Loved my iced coffee . Plenty of room for working on a laptop outdoors.
Goat cheese with apples pizza ! 👍🏻👍🏻
The Golden Beetloaf is not to be missed!
Has a cinnamon raisin bagel , unlike 90% of SF
