HRW pork shank , mexican sweet potato puree , tropical mole with chiles, plantains , pineapple . Meat is really tender. The mole is a little different but all together I understand the flavor combo.
The oysters were the star of the show -- really tasty and I would go back just for that. The duck was delicious with perfectly crisp skin . I also loved the strawberry rhubarb tart for dessert .
Caracol specializes in fresh, authentic Mexican seafood dishes. Turtle soup , mole de huitlacoche and a mallet-necessitating dessert have earned high praise from even the most discerning critics.

HRW rainbow trout stuffed with seafood tamal topped with pipián verde. Wow on presentation and flavor! So flaky and full of wonderful flavors. I would order over and over again.
HRW chocolate coconut shell, coconut buttercream , coconut ganache , coconut streusel, whipped coconut . Our favorite dessert . What's not to love about cracking your own dessert ?!
Great place. Go for Happy Hour and don't be afraid to sit outside. They turn on the fans to beat the Htown heat. Oysters are amazing.
We went for brunch and had the Steak and Eggs which was great! But honestly the star of the show was the grilled oysters . So yummy!
Sunday brunch is a special treat. So many options of tasty and fresh Mexican classics, as well as inventive twists on those classics. The tres leches is out of this world!
Taquito de Langosta de Cabo Cabo style lobster taquito on flour tortilla , baby romaine, pico de gallo , crema , cilantro really yummy but idk if worth $11
Glad I tried a second time. Stick with small dishes rather than entrees. We loved the lobster tacos and all ceviche options. Delicious cocktails and nice outdoor seating options.
Traditional Mexican food which was absolutely delicious. The tuna tacos were excellent. Not your average Mexican food here. The restaurant has a nice trendy feel but also kid friendly .
Try the grilled oysters ! Oysters often lose their flavor when grilled. Not these! Perfectly cooked so that the oysters are still the star of the dish. Go during happy hour for a good deal .
Try the El Coco for dessert , even if you are not a fan of coconut , you will be glad you did, plus you get to whack the shell with a Mallot:)
Fantastic!! The patio is cute but on a windy day, not the greatest. Get the tostaditos de Jaiba and the camarones a la diablo ! You won't be disappointed by the perfect blend of seasonings & seafood .
The staff really know their stuff. One of the new bartenders described how they cook every part of the meal. We were asking bc it was very tasty!
Everything I tried was amazing. I am elegiac to seafood but everyone had the table loved their seafood dishes too
HRW clam soup with hominy, tomatillo , hoja sante. I wasn't sure about this dish but wow the flavor really works well and has a lot of depth.
HRW shrimp cocktail with onion , tomato , valentina sauce, lime juice , and avocado . Really fresh tasting with great flavor.
HRW coconut flan , toasted coconut flakes , mango crema . The mango was an odd combo with the flan I could have done without that.
The food was very good and the service as well . But you have to try the rhubarb empanada desert . It is simply perfect!!!!
Everything is good here. I have been to caracol a few times and this place never disappoints.
Oyster tacos are fantastic! Like Berryhill fish tacos but with Liberty Kitchen fried oysters .

Upscale Mexican food with a lot of finesse and fantastic presentation. Well worth a visit.
Great scallop ceviche and fish entrees. Loved the kick in the spicy Toque de Calor margarita .
Service is impeccable! Food is delicious and atmosphere is relaxing with great music .
Scallop ceviche , mussels , wood roasted oysters and the coconut dessert . Rich but light as well .
the CHOCOLATE CLAMS are worth every penny. $4 for each raw clam . Add some lime and you're good to go!
Oysters and tuna tostada are a must as well as the short rib .
Glad Foursquare brought this place up in my feed - been to long since we've been there. Great food/drinks/atmosphere - Cary Michael Cox
