Home to the world-famous Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, Australia.
1019 Ventnor Rd Summerland VIC 3922 Australia
If you can't get a seat in the stand, they fill up pretty quick, then go between them near the white building in the middle. Lots of penguins came up there then go under the boardwalk.
If you are in Phillip Island , please do not miss this. Totally worth it and it's a lifetime experience. Amazing to watch them come ashore.
If you are on Penguin Plus, sit to the right hand corner of the area. Don't bother much if you're not in front coz when you walk back on the Boardwalk, you can see them waddling in close proximity.
It's absolutely a joy to see wild little penguins returning home! No photography , just enjoy it live and basically you can roam around the boardwalks and watch the penguins waddle around.
My bf bought me a ranger tour and I totally enjoyed it. We got our own tour guide, 10ppl max. It's including hot drink, seat matress, binocular , sit in front of the parade . I felt like a VIP. :D
Recommend upgrade to "penguin plus" for better lookout and private view of penguins popping out and walking. You'll get a free drink too! Amazing experience!
Highlight of the day; watching the Penguins return home at dusk; the other highlight? A park ranger rough handling anyone he saw trying to photo the cute penguins with brute force.
The best experience ever watching the penguins come to shore and back to their homes. They are so tiny and so cute and does cute little actions. https://t.co/ITZc5IilfO
Must see when you visit Melbourne!!! Hundreds upon hundreds of little fairy penguins come back to shore once the sun is down. No photography allowed though ???? can't scare the little guys
Come earlier to get a great spot and clearer view of the penguins . Becoz the penguin itself is very small in size.. best if u wait there from 5.30 or u wont get any great spot.
Go in the afternoon and bring hats sunscreens and glasses. Bring are jacket it does it very nippy. sit on the beach and watch the sunset and wazes coming in.
More than 1000 penguins / coming back home every night. / It’s a kids delight. #HaikuReviews
The best part is seeing the penguin walking alongside the path as you return from the beach . Grandstand viewing doesn't really get close enough to see much.
The private tour really is the best way to go. And put your cameras away, the Penguins are tired and don't need a face full of camera flash.
If traveling from Melbourne, book The Little Penguin Bus . Mac is an excellent guide and driver. Skips all the crazy tour stops and takes you directly to the island . Also provides great tips on viewing
A must! Recommend to get the penguin plus tickets as you get to see the little penguins really up close and personal
Penguins in the darkness are merging from the ocean. So you can see in any zoo throughout Au.You have to come in advance to take the right seat, grab some beer for 2h waiting !Not worth doing!
It was such a nice experience and you can actually learn from the penguins and nature. If you can afford a bit extra, buy Penguin Plus ticket and you got to witness and experience more.
Penguin parade is an awesome experience! No phototaking allowed to protect the wild creatures. For your eyes only! ;) get the better view at the right seating area!
Stay at the viewing area for at least half an hour after the first penguins to see them all at their burrows on the way back. Sit near the front (otherwise people will just stand in front of you).
Watching the little penguins to come ashore and find shelter in their burrows is a must see experience in Phillip Island !
The cutest experience ever! Get the penguin plus to see the penguins faster and more up close :)
Get a front seat because the penguins are tiny! Won't be able to see from far. Bring a jacket even during summer because sea breeze can be quite chilly
Agree with people: sit bottom RHS and head up to see them from the board walks!! I went in Jan .... Amazing do many penguins ! Check the stats from the night before
Sit on the right hand side of the seating, you can see more near the rocks... but wait til you walk back along the boardwalk. That's where the real shows begin. :D
The Penguins Plus stand is very good, this place is certainly worth a visit. Highly recommended.
U MUST TRY their Ultimate Tour ! What a unforgettable experience to watch penguins lands in complete dark! Very close up!
Definitely spend the extra money to get a guide or ultimate package, the reserved seats and ranger are worth it
Really awesome to see little penguins swimming ashore and back to their meet.
Get the Penguins Plus Pass , it's well worth paying a bit extra but you'll get the exclusive views of the penguins when they arrived in the shore. Awesome!
Beautiful and windy sea ! Nice place but cannot see penguin parade coz that needs to pay ????
Phillip Island is very nice for seeing those little pinguins, but as well for whale watching depends which time you will be there
Wear jacket to watch penguin , after 15 mins many people will leave so you can move nearer to see the penguin .
come earlier to snag a seat in front! dress warmly with gloves and thick jacket .
Possibly great experience ruined by ignorant tourists who don't understand what "stay sitting down" and "no photography allowed" means. Sit at the front and go when low tide is in the evening.
Go early, het a seat in front line , or you can see them closely of you come back; they are going under footpath
Once the penguins arrive to the shore, you may walk with the penguins to the burrows to have a closer look.
Penguins start arriving at sunset . Check each day for parade times. Best to arrive 30 minutes early and get a seat up the front on the sand!
The Penguin Parade Show is SOLD OUT today!! First time I heard of that! So next time, book early or online beforehand! They should put the Sold Out sign BEFORE the bridge !;(
Excellent! But cold -make sure to have a jacket !!!
It was awesome island , I will come again. But next time I will go to surf n other actives
Sit in semi-darkness and watch penguins emerge from the crashing waves -- this is nothing short of amazing!
Have a pirvate tour with the ranger and get to sit right at the front. Amazing experience!!! Thanks Kimberley for the guide.
The staff are arseholes. Taking a photo (with no flash, far away from a Pengiun) is 'disrespecting' them, but building a boardwalk through their home and making money off them is perfectly fine.
The best spot to see the penguins is on the sand in the front right corner. Enjoy!
It gets really really cold when sunsets . Bring thick clothings and GLOVES to stay warm.
Make sure to rug up and wear multiple layers. The wind chill Coming off the water is intense
Been sitting here waiting for the penguins for about 30 min. I'm pretty sure it's minus 70. Make you bring a portable fireplace if you don't wanna lose a nipple.
Remember to bring a jacket and dress warmly!
After penguins came up to beach , U can follow their parade along the path. If U arrive at beach late, try to sit on the sand it will be better to watch penguins .
Bring more gear to keep yourself dry and warm. There are no shades to protect you from nature's element while waiting for the penguins returning from their catch. - Han Yean
A beautiful place with view of the sea, rocks formation are so nice and the scenery is awesome. there's also penguin boxes around the area, spotting a penguin is fun. https://t.co/ITZc5IilfO - Tracy Loh
Do the penguin parade. Best thing ever. Highly recommend the private experience. Gets you front row seats without having to line up! - Fiona Morouco
Ordered three different pastas - risotto, cannelloni and fettucine carbonara, all of them were pretty nice! love the risotto the best because of the pesto sauce. https://t.co/ITZc5IilfO - Tracy Loh
