To get to the upstairs bar , enter the theater, take the steps up to the balcony , and pass through the doorway leading behind the theater seats.

One of the only true one screen art house cinemas left and it's a great one. Get the popcorn and sit lower level towards the back.

Best place to see a movie . Beautiful venue and they are pretty consistent with showing too-notch limited releases

Come a few minutes early and take in the details of the interior. Look at the exterior relief on the north side as well . Try out the balcony . We are lucky it has survived, and as one screen .

I just saw Broken Embraces (Los abrazos rotos) by Almodovar here. I am amazed how he manages to make a great movie every single time! Thumbs up to Uptown Theatre and their movies selection!
