This is a great part of any visit to Roosevelt Island . Great views of the east side of Manhattan and the historic Pepsi cola sign. Great bathrooms !

Almost no tourist visit Roosevelt Island . Though, if dime spare time is available, the red cherries pathway and this park provide some relax and wonderful sights.
Really cool way to kill a few hours hanging out or relaxing. A quiet , beautiful space in the heart of the city .
The late architect Louis Kahn designed the site in a triangular shape to draw focus toward the southern tip of the island , which is where a bronze bust of Roosevelt by sculptor Jo Davidson is located.
Sunday afternoon is the BEST time to spot the seaplanes arriving from the Hamptons. Watch on the Queens side of the park .
The staff is great! Victoria told lots of interesting facts about the park and explained why eating is not allowed and why there is no access to the most southern point of the park .

You can find the renderings for the park at their website! Try to spot the "room" from the RI Tram or Queensboro bridge !
Incredible views of Long Island and Manhattan. Nice and calm .
Pure shame they don't leave this place open until sunset as they once claimed. People trek out here only to be disappointed. They have taken public land & made it an unwelcoming, "policed " PARK .
Amazing! Try not to go in the middle of summer — so hot! But it is worth it.
Super views of Manhattan and queens!
