Mud Island River Park

I have always visited this park frequently for meditation , quite time and short walks. It need to be updated. A makeover is really overdue. It's still a nice experience for new comers.

Such a cool park to walk! There's a scale model (actually filled with water) of the Mississippi River . Walk a little further to see the actual Mississippi River !

Mud Island River Park hosts many events throughout the year that raise money for a good cause: Polar Bear Plunge, Dragon Boat races, Dave Corn 's Expedition, etc. Find one that interests you!

Really cool miniature replica of the Mississippi River . Fun to walk in and read history.

I've only been once but when I did go, it was really peaceful . I love the Riverwalk model .

The model of the river is very good

The swan boats are impossible to steer! But they are lovely.

Venture out into the Wolf River Harbor in a canoe or kayak ! (You can rent one from the Adventure Center)

For July 4th fireworks , go to the SOUTH end of the island .

Stroll along the one-of-a-kind Riverwalk model or take the Guided Riverwalk Tour !

Come prepared to stay a couple of hours, and bring water on hot days!

Great for school groups. Splash around the river in the summer.

Park on mud island . ..ride the sky tram

Need a cold one? Stop in the Cafe or Grill for a cold soda or a chilly freezy!
