Chao Krung Thai was the second Thai restaurant in Los Angeles. Established in 1976, it quickly became an instant hit with lines of customers often waiting patiently outside to sample the "Exotic" taste of Thailand as well as a favorite of Hollywood celebrities...

The food does taste good and it's a nice escape when Fairfax is firing on all cylinders. Be advised: it is a gut bomb...if that's what you're going for
Great renovation, like a gastropub with 6 taps, great #happyhour, same great Pad Thai

Chao Krung opened in 1976. It was the second Thai restaurant in Los Angeles.
I've been a loyal customer for over 5 yrs. and I'll keep coming back because the food is just as great as the service!
Panang curry and Khao soi r my faves ????
This was the most horrible experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant . The manager of this place should find himself another job. The service was disaster. The food was tasteless. You’d better stay away
$8 buffet on Monday Wednesday & Friday and $8.99 buffet on Tue & Thurs
Not going to blow your mind with the buffet , but you'll get a nice array of Thai flavors.
I love the Fresh Roll and the Pad Taley.
Angel Wings !
The Yam Yai salad is the BEST salad ever!!!!
The Ginger salad is excellent!
Unprofessional place with worst kind of management!!!!
The $5.99 lunch special is a great deal. Salad, full meal, and dessert too! - Alana Davis
I loved the outdoor area and the food here, noodles, beef & pork... However, it's a bit expensive, when we talk about the small portion of the curry (delicious though!) that comes without rice ???? ❌️ - Hanna Avlas
Everything was really good my first time ordering from here and I’ll be back - Adam L
Very nice and iconic shopping center. Nice variety of high end and more affordable shops. Amazing options for food in the farmers market. Can get crazy busy and be hard to quickly get in & out of - Michael Morgan
Try one of everything! Yes, that’s a LOT... so you’ll have to come back multiple times. Everything I ate here was delicious. This is a “must do” for every LA visit for me. - Kristen B.
Friendly, well-stocked, easy to get in and out (usually). There wine tasting is informative and free alcohol!! - ISAAC MYERS
