This 2.1km hiking trail is an easy trek on a shady trail over undulating terrain. There is only one steep rock staircase of 7 steps at the 1.25km mark. Easy enough for beginners and kids.
NParks has set up anti-bike barriers to indicate to all but the most recalcitrant cyclists that the hiking trails are not for bikes .
There are distance posts every 100m along this 2.1km trail . The top of the post is marked "Sunbird", "Drongo", or "Munia" to indicate the closest respective hut.
The hiking trail is for hikers only. Not for (mountain ) bikes . Please comply for everyone's safety.
There is a swampy area along this trail with turtles in it. One of them is as big as or bigger than a human head.
Even on wet days, the trail is still reasonably mud-free.
