I truly appreciate fine arts so i'm really happy i had the chance to visit this place. Wish i had more time though. Incredible and fascinating arts they have. My favorite is Vision of Fiammetta, 1878
the collection is varied and interesting but this is one of the only museums i have been to where practically none of the art has a description beyond name, year and artist . hope you're an expert!
Always plan extra time and let yourself wander around. There are always a diverse selection of wonderful exhibits that deserve your time. Go slow and enjoy!

A few interesting European pieces, a lovely Native American collection and a highly forgettable Pacific Northwest contemporary collection.
I love this museum - so much to explore. The Italian style exhibit was so inspiring.
Take the historic elevator for a ride. It's to the right as you enter. Watch your fingers though - the door is manually operated. Ask any staff member if you need help.
Love the exhibits especially the contemporary extension. Be prepared to walk up quite a few stairs

If you're thinking of paying $5 for the Francis Bacon exhibit and, like me, are curious but not immensely passionate about Bacon then don't. It's a single triptych in a busy corridor. Total waste.
