Did you know you can see a bald eagle's nest from here? Walk about half a mile down the path toward Old Town and keep your eye trained across the street.
This is a great place to get on Mount Vernon trail with plenty of parking .
Restrooms , water fountain and a bench . Good place to plan a rest stop.
Be prepared for periodic flooding
Now that somebody renamed this to include the whole park and not just the "comfort station," here's a park picture.
"No commuter parking ," says the Park Police . I think it was OK for almost 80 years, until I parked there a few times.
