The best deep dish pizza in Chicago , more known by locals and where you want to come to experience the real thing. Sausage , Green peppers , onions , mushrooms with caramelized crust = heaven.
You haven’t experienced deep dish until you’ve tried it with a caramelized crust . Load up on sausage , spinach , pepperoni , ground beef , giardiniera and taste the difference of the crispy , thick crust. Read more
Coming here for the first time was a revelation. This is the best pizza I've had - any style, anywhere. My mom came to Chicago for the first time and I only recommended two places: here and Au Cheval
I LOVE this place. Do I order Deep Dish or Thin? Who cares. They're both YUM. Fun atmosphere and great service. They always have a line for a short wait as this place is popular for locals/visitors.
Pequod's pies are of the pan variety, a deep doughy pizza that includes an addictive and lauded crispy caramelized crust made from baking cheese on the outside to give it a look that may appear burnt. Read more
This is local, neighborhood pizza at its finest. The wait might be long, or it could be your lucky day & you'll get a seat right away. Grab a deep dish pizza & a local brew for a chill night out.
Hands down best deep dish pizza I've tried and only one I'd recommend. The small or medium is more than plenty for two. Try it with the housemade fennel sausage .
Extra Sauce, Extra Cheese Pie : It's a simple pizza—about as plain as a sausage deep dish gets, but its crust is one of the best in the city . The way everything comes together is simply magical.
On a weekend night, there might be quite a wait, but there’s a place next door you can go for a drink. Up there with the best deep-dish - sausage and carmelized crust are awesome!
Dug the chunks of quality sausage , char on the pepperoni and extra caramelized cheese , sunday gravy-rich sauce, and crispy bottom. Very tasty, but not really Chicago deep dish ; too much bread .
I had lunch special(affordable price????), it was tasty! wasnt salty and dough was crusty. waited 25 minutes till it comes out but it was worth it.(deep dish takes some time to cook..)
I’ve never eaten in but the pizza here is one of the best deep dish pizzas in Chicago , hands down. I love the pepperoni .
Amazing pizza !! The Deep dish crust is unreal! So many toppings to choose from! Be prepared to wait a long time for a table and 45 mins for the pizza .
Pizza to die for! Try one with meatballs and ricotta cheese . Quickly became my fav deep dish pizza in Chicago .
This is neighborhood pizza at it's finest. The wait might be long, or it could be your lucky day & you'll get a seat right away. Grab a deep dish pizza & a local brew for a chill night out.
Come on dude. It's all about the deep dish , originally created by Bert Kaz who only very recently closed his eponymous restaurant Burt's Place in Morton Grove due to health concerns. Chicago's best!
During my time visiting Chicago this became the spot where I had the best Deep dish style pizza & gladly go back again to have more
The deep dish pizza is AMAZING, it has carmalized crust and great toppings, if you are looking for a stuffed pizza this it not the place to go, this pizza is deep dish , the service is slow
GREAT pizza , fresh ingredients and the Carmelized crust is to die for. Couple of nice beers on tap .
This popular pizzeria serves its share of meatball sandwiches , ravioli and plenty of garlic bread , but it's known for the addictive pan pizza , with its signature crust ringed with caramelized cheese . Read more
Chicago deep dish gets a twist and a cult-following at Pequod's that even out-of-town deep dish haters can love. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
The pan pizza with sausage and pepperoni was awesome. Pretty sure the girlfriend and I liked it better than actual deep dish pizzas we've had in Chicago.
The pan/deep dish is delicious because they have a unique, caramelized cheesy crust. As a new resident, I hold no allegiance to the other deep dish staples. Pequods is def #1deep dish contender!
It not authentic Chicago style pizza , but it is amazing. Love this place and definitely worth checking out.
The thing that sets Pequod's apart is the beautifully crispy , thick carmelized crust . It isn't weighed down with too much sauce or cheese so it's never soggy and it’s cooked in cast iron. Read more
Truly enjoyed the pizza , coming from Miami , it made me feel like I wasn't a tourist . Pizza crust is king here. Worth the trip, only thing that sucks is parking .
The BEST pizza in Chicago. If you're dining in, be sure to make a reservation .
The crust has the consistency of a fluffy biscuit + caramelized , the tomato sauce is light and sweet (not salty), get ready
I like the caramalized corner tops of their deep dish , full of flavor.Other than that tbh I favor Lou. Their regular pan crust pizza by the slice is a good go to.
The crust on its deep dish pizza that is so good you will think you have gone to pizza heaven. Caramelized cheese helps create an unforgettable flavor. Busy all the time, but worth the wait.
Amazing pan pizza ! Delicious like a homemade pizza . I’d highly recommend it to whoever is visiting Chicago. *Don’t expect a high end place .
Waited 40 minutes for the pizza to cook but stacks up with the greats of deep dish in Chicago. Can get pitchers of beer which only adds to the convivial atmosphere this spot holds within.
Hawaiian deep dish pizza is the bomb. Start with jalapeño poppers and wash it down with a 312 or Green Line .
Jon Stewart might have a problem with eating a pizza with forks - I don't. $5 lunch special here is the only true competitor to Di Fara's Sicilian slice .
Awesome awesome awesome deep dish pizza . Always stop here when I'm in Chicago.
Had this while on a Road Trip. Most amazing pizza Everrrr! The blackened crust is my favorite and I've been craving it ever since.
Best lunch special in Chicago. Pequods Chezzzzzzzzy crust to dough/meat ratio is ridunkly right. Thank me later.
Their deep dish is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. It was not my favourite compared to the other 2 pizza places we toured , but it was good. It's more like a focaccia than a pizza .
Pizza is amazing. Not a Chicago pizza guy but this hit different. Oh and the garlic bread is great.
Great pizza place ! Come early though because there's usually a wait. Worth it!
The caramelized crust on the deep dish is amazing. No pre-selected toppings so just pick what you want. Decent jalapeno poppers , too.
Deep dish pizza is incredible! Lunch special during week is a personal pizza and drink for $5 and change.
Ranked as on of Chicago's best places for deep dish pizza ! Crush was a bit thick, otherwise delicious! Wings were great too!
The BEST pie in all of Chicagoland. Fresh, buttery, carmelized bread-like crust sets this place apart from all other pizza joints.
Some people will stick with the big 3 when talking about Chicago's best pizza . In my opinion, Peaquod's pan pizza is the best by a mile!
It's either embedded in my clothes or permanently immortalized in my nose, but 2 hours later and I keep smelling that deliciously cheesy "caramelized crust "...smells like candy ! Must try Chi!
If you like deep dish , crunchy crust , good beer , and a non-chain-feel, check it out! A local ChiTown fave
My absolute favorite Chicago pizza & for something different get the Italian beef sandwich on the cheesy garlic bread
Pepperoni & green olives . Do it. You won't regret that decision. Side of ranch for the crust? Yes, please.
Problem with Pequod's is that as popular as it is, they haven't figured out how to manage the pick-up process. I had observed others losing their pizza pickups to others and then it happened to me.
Fried chicken and biscuit for brunch is delicious! Can't go wrong with their pizza! Huge outdoor patio, but get there early it's very crowded and can be a scene - Dana Danielle
The crispy pies hold a lot of weight, so after you choose your pizza style—red, white or New Haven plain—start picking toppings. (If you’re really going New Haven–style, try one with clams and bacon.) - Time Out Chicago
This is my go to theater in the city. The seats are amazing, loved the assigned seating. There's a little bar to get drinks. Easy to find parking that's free and it's just an easy place to get to. - Vally
All the desserts are yummy, especially the cupcakes. One of my favorite's is the banana cupcake. The atmosphere is great. Fun place to bring family and friends. - Steph Lehocky
