My FAVORITE spot for dinner , dessert , and drinks. For food, you absolutely must get the Brussels sprouts and mac & cheese . I dream about it. (Don't forget to pop downstairs for the photo booth !)

Matthew Kennedy

Great place to people watch in midtown. Food is American continental & standard for NYC. Get the jalapeño grits . Only a few spots in NYC do grits justice, I know b/c I'm from NC. Bartenders r GR8 too!

Anna Shapiro

One of the best brunch spots in the city ! Free juice/alcoholic cocktails with an order of brunch entree. Gets pretty crowded , so definitely make a reservation . I recommend Wild Mushroom Omelette .

Melissa Illance

Great for parties. Their space is beautiful with an industrial hipster feel. Delicious quality food with different variety. The gnocchi was to die for. Their drinks were phenomenal, coffee martini !

Condé Nast Traveler

We seem to have a thing for brasseries—though this one is decidedly American, with more comfort food than a Southern diner , like the guilt-inducing breakfast pot pie and jalapeño cheddar grits . Read more

While dinner here is awesome, we prefer to eat at this hip spot for brunch - reservations are a must. The BLT+E is to die for, and what makes it extra delicious is that it's served on a croissant !

Edwina D

Brunches here are my favorite! Get the smoked salmon egg benedict and the potato waffle benedict, they're heavenly! And if you're craving a dessert , get the s'mores ! You won't regret it

For a chain restaurant (they have multiple nyc locations, plus dc and Chicago), it is really amazing and great option for some solid American cuisine foo- salads , burgers , fish , steaks , etc

Valerie S

Great spot for brunch with a group of friends. Fun vibe and pretty tile decor. Food is top notch-- totally delicious twists on classic brunch staples.

asli ceylan

I tried scallop and kale salad . And they were so delicious. Service is very good. The only negative comment could be it was too loud . Because it was so crowded . Fancy restaurant in NYC!

Lubor

Quite a busy place with very decent food - actually the lamb chops were the best I've ever had...juicy, tender and precisely "medium". Service is nice and fast.

Abbie W

R29: Go-to spot for brunch connoisseurs. Sticky glazed donuts served with warm chocolate sauce, vanilla bean French toast , side of Brussels sprouts , cheese grits . Old-fashioned photo booth downstairs.

Bridget Gael

Unbelievable. Everything I’ve had is divine. Favorites: salmon with cauliflower puree, skillet Mac and cheese , burger , s’mores cup desert

Kasia Pleban

Avocado toast for breakfast or brunch - best I've ever had! You get two pieces of yummy bread , a pile of avocado , salad , two poached eggs . All is perfect! Yummy and healthy!

Wayne Anderman

Squash Flatbread a must- Kale Quinoa Salad not to miss & Spicy Tuna Tartare on Crispy Rice - Great trio of tastes...

Harumi U

Probably the best French toast I have had. And you get one complimentary drink with it. The brunch crowd is big and the restaurant does get loud though

Katie Childress

Fantastic! Started with a simple fruit bowl with honey drizzles, and then had the toast with truffles and eggs ...so good!!

Adnan Manjal

Excellent food. Loved the Sicilian eggs with buratta . It was fantastic. Great service from our waiter Omar, cool guy. Highly recommend for brunch . Book early.

Jackie Leung

This calamari (brooklyn style- sauce on top) is one of da best calamaris in d city !!! Great batter and that sauce is just amazing!

Moushumi Chaudhury

Great food and atmosphere! I had an amazing dessert : goat cheese cake with raspberry ice cream and pistachios . Worth to just go for the dessert !

RDW

there's no doubt the food overall is creative and delectable, reasonably priced unlike the drinks, but still not sure the wait of hours was worth it, but they did comp us some appetizers to apologize Read more

Go to spot for brunch connoisseurs. Start off with a basket of their sweet, sticky glazed donuts served with warm chocolate sauce. Vanilla bean French toast . Photo booth downstairs!

DoubleDeuce

Great food. Great energy. Clean , trendy , hip , non-gender bathrooms with red lights and industrial hardware...everything you could want in a Turtle Bay outing!

Jessica Stark

Shareable snacks/apps for a slightly larger group: Hot Potato Chips & Beer Battered String Beans . Dinner : Chicken Pot Pie . Was amazing but LARGE--be prepared to share or take some home!

Jenna Salsedo

Great brunch . Get the the eggs with spinach and potato waffles . Also head downstairs peek inside the little black hole in the wall - and don't forget the photo booth . And yes, it takes credit cards .

Caitlin Fox

Brunch menu is amazing! I got the buttermilk waffles and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Also the apple juice is fantastic

Kisha Chandler

Top rate drinks and food! Love The Smith. Super elegant vibe, dishes and drinks. Excellent service

Anthony Gomez

Just an incredible spot with really great food. Killer coffee , pancakes are unreal (see photo/try not to drool) and the French toast is superb.

J Neal

Shrimp&Grits dish is a must! Noisy on ANY given night so don't try to have any serious conversations here. Fun nights...celebrations...date night if you can sit at a cozy corner table !

Meaghan Smith

Get the blue cheese fondue with homemade potato chips . I promise. The brick chicken is great for dinner and the brunch specials are always on point.

Anusha Pachunuri

Got the waffles , love it! It was a perfect brunch spot for me, so huge and crowded but still could hear each other. Good vibes!

Elena Hatib

For some reason, this Smith location has the best brunch out of all of its locations. I always try something new each time I go for brunch and it's usually good!

Exclusive Resorts

Fantastic meal. Great service. Beet salad was amazing. We had the truffle gnocchi and the roasted chicken - both were excellent. It was a fun, hip restaurant . Service was great.

The Corcoran Group

After chowing down on a burger , you must order the Pumpkin Pie in a Jar - it's the ultimate way to satisfy your pumpkin craving in the fall!

Uber NYC

If you're rolling with a big group, no better place than The Smith. Top notch food, big space , and super friendly staff . You won't ever see the bottom of your glass!

stephanie scheper

absolutely loved the tomato soup covered with melted cheddar cheese , & the roasted chicken arugula salad with brie - my new favorite brunch spot in the neighb! So glad they opened this location.

Bonnie Smyth

Very consistent. You can’t really go wrong because everything is delicious - but ESPECIALLY the Brussels sprouts and seared tuna salad .

Ru Lu

Went for lunch on weekdays a few times. This place is full of professionals working in the area as well as moms with kids. The three giant chocolate cookies are must.

Ms Helene

Loud but roomy . Chips with blue cheese sauce $9, crispy Brussels sprouts $9, tuna poke $16 all good and gluttonous

Spiced Blood Orange Margarita 's Awesome. Loved having Allagash White on Draft .. Sticky Ribs & Brick Pressed Chicken were tasty n delicious. Just ask em to put more sauce on chicken .. :)

Barron Roth

Get the pot pie , it's a protein powerhouse. Don't kid yourself.

Serious Eats

Trendy restaurant and bar with a sometimes-rowdy crowd. Bar snacks are the best items on the menu.

Kelley

Best drinks ever. Check out the long pour section of the drinks menu. 40 thieves and spiced peach margarita are awesome

Valerie Perdue

Loved the brick pressed chicken with mashed potatoes with a side of really delicious Brussels sprouts . Really good American food .

Alex Jen

Cocktail list and beer selection change often so it's always good to come back and see what's new. Food is AMAZING as well . Great local spot !

Sonnypong

Really nice place to have breakfast / brunch (top ten in New York & have cocktails watching fabulous people pass by

deestiv

Food is amazing, but it can get super crowded and loud on weekends and nights. Get a cocktail and the pot o' mussels and enjoy!

Jess

Burger is great, nice for groups, chips also great, simple food everyone will enjoy, nothing out of this world.

Jessica M.

Surprisingly hard to go wrong. Hot potato chips , shishito peppers , and mac and cheese to start. You won’t be sad.

Rach B

If you only get one appetizer...it should be the fried green beans . Ranch sauce is amazing. Ask for extra.
