Simple honestly cooked food in a chilled out part of town . The soups and salads are excellent. So is the steak tartare . Courteous waiters .

Originally thought this place was a tourist trap but I was so wrong. The food is authentic and delicious (and mostly organic and locally-sourced). Don't miss the confit de canard !

Take a break here while shopping in the Marais. Get a demi-litre of wine , soupe à l’oignon, and cuisse de canard

The Les Philosophes salad was amazing and I'm not normally a salad person. The onion soup was perfectly seasoned, the staff were fast & attentive. Keep a hold of your bags if you sit outside though!

Very nice place to have a quick lunch . Don't expect the staff to be looking into your eyes when helping you, they have all these 4squarers waiting for their french food .

Took the daily suggestion and the vegetables were part rotten, and we had a string of hair on top. The main dish took 40 minutes to be ready. The waiter didn't even apologize... Stay away

Onion soup worth to try

I had the daily soup which was Gazpacho it was not superb. The main dish of the day was veal stew ut was OK too. Dont be ticked with the high rating. Keep your expectations low
