Nothing bad on the menu, but a particular mention for the duck fat chips which are probably the best chips I've had (and I've had a lot; they beat Heston's) and the Chocolate & Ale cake is sensational
Had a wonderful Birthday meal; great food, wonderful service and a relaxed atmosphere . The Duck fat chips are legendary. Best of all..they left me a Birthday Card & personalised my Chocolate Cake !
Good pub food cooked very well . Some of the best venison I’ve ever eaten. Service is fine but doesn’t make you feel special. Lunch for two came to £230.
Cosy and friendly staff good parking . Great food tasty and you don't go hungry souffle was fab as was the turbot
Excellent food and excellent staff the duck liver parfait , venison and soufflé were tasty and the chips are to die for
Outstanding food, drinks and service. Must book 6 months in advance but well worth it.
Hearty Michelin star cooked meal in a gastro pub atmosphere. The chef’s signature dish of pork belly and deep fried pig’s head will leave no room for dessert ! For the full FT interview... Read more
Most wonderful vegetarian menu . Well worth the expense .
Crispy Pig Head !! You may need to book a year in advance to get there but it's worth it!
Very popular food orientated pub . Book well in advance.
The food is amazing and even though it is 2 Michelin starred there is still a very reasonably priced set lunch menu
Amazing scallops starter is a real prize winner! James behind the bar knows his wines , follow his lead! The Bourgogne was excellent today!
Haddock omelette starter was fabulous. Big recommend also for the house Rioja . Really good choice at £28.00.
Chef Tom Kerridge doesn't stint on fat, salt and sugar. This is gutsy food that benefits from 24 hours nil-by-mouth beforehand (and prepare for a food hangover). Full review: http://goo.gl/tQ6YR
There are few better places to eat in England than here. Personally, i prefer it to Le Manoir. Shin of beef is spectacular, the duck fat chips are incredible and the omelette breathtaking. Big fan!
Can't get a reservation ? You can grab a seat at the bar to eat if you're early. Fabulous fish and chips
Terrines , parfait and ribeye w bordelaise sauce were stunning.
Great casual atmosphere . Fantastic gin menu.
Everything here is great!
Whole Italian truffle wrapped in foie ? Yes please
Scallop starter is something special and rasberry souffle is out of this world!
Fantastic, well worth the 550 mile round trip to eat there.
Found Moules Marinière with Warm Stout and Brown Bread as Yum Yum. Try it and dish on it at http://dishonit.com Read more
Awesome food, good range of drinks
Book before you go. Cam be difficult to get in even on a Monday lunch .
The best chips in the world!
Fantastic.
Dam fine food. The 'pub ' is not quite right.
Unbelievable food!
Great food, try the slow roasted duck
Tom Kerridge ! Say no more.
Duck fat chips spectacular....... Excellent food
Excellent food service slow.. The duck is amazing !
Two Michelin stars .
Not worth 2 stars. Average food, great service tho
Pretty darn good elevated pub grub. Standouts are the trout rillet, chicken Kiev, incredible hispi cabbage, and the burger with insane chips. Cocktails are delicious. Day of reservations only. - eric bornemann
One of my faves in the area. Good food, atmosphere, service and nice patio/ garden. - Julian Poulter
Music nights are very popular. Serves well kept Rebellion Brewery ales. - Carl Griffin
