Attractive pub with many Victorian features. Impeccable quality real ales .
Cracking lively place with friendly staff . Try the Titanic Plum Porter if its on.
Best beer quality (not number) in Liverpool. Landlord won't suffer fools nor poor ale . A must go to Liverpool pub .
In addition to my first comment I would point out that the proud graduate who only wanted to buy a pint gave great reviews to McDonald's. Enough said.
Great bar staff , good range of beers and lagers . Real Liverpool pub .
Staff is very friendly , amazing ales . This is my sanctuary.
Try Liverpool camra's pub of the year 2010 & 2011, I found barman & atmosphere friendly and will be visiting again.
Not the widest selection in town but certainly best kept ale . Always busy.
Great beer and amazingly friendly , helpful staff . Totally recommended!
Extremely friendly pub despite what the moaners say. Don't bring your own food. It's a business, not a shelter for sippers who want Sky for free. Not suffering fools gladly is not 'unfriendly'. Rec.
Good pub lousy bogs bring ur own bog roll
No food but good beer .
VERY rude bar staff , threatened to throw me and my mates out if we bought 1 pint for the duration of the match as soon as we walked in! Terrible customer service.
Don't ask for tap water unless you want to be shown the door and don't even contemplate eating anything not bought in the pub .
Rude staff , asked to leave as a friend was driving, not drinking.
Yeah, Tiny Rebel's beer was super!!!!!!!! :) Really cool Pub with kind staff!!! :) - Simone P.
Multi-roomed pub that has been in every edition of the Good Beer Guide since it started. Ask for 3 thirds is you fancy trying a few of their beers. - Graham Rose
Retains its feel as a street corner local but is generally busy with people from further afield. Great real ales. - Carl Griffin
Amazing beers, a bit on the pricey side though; 3.40 for a pint (worth it for Erdinger though!) - Deano
The interior is magnificent, and is worth visiting to sit and admire it. Ales are also good too! - Alex Roberts
Great pub, friendly atmosphere when the match is on and nice draught lager. - Daniel Ruxton
