Delicious tapas - goat cheese tapa was amazing. Banana sangria + add your own rum . Coconut fish was great too. Loud atmosphere, so if you're looking for a quiet place - this isn't it.

Great mojitos , ropa vieja is so delicious and the naked paella lo mas rico. Great place Danny was very nice

Go nuts on the tapas , skip the piglet. Ribs melt in your mouth, chorizo is a must. By far, the winner is the good old Cuban sandwich (from the tapas menu ) simply one of the best I ever had.

Place was poppin off midday on a Friday. Festive , fun atmosphere with quality authentic Cuban cuisine . I was very pleased with my spicy shrimp dish and tell them to keep the sangria coming.

The grilled snapper fish , plantains and rice was excellent, couldn't eat it all, because I ate so much of the shrimp appetizer and drank sangria while waiting on main course. You go to go here..

I LOVE this place! Great food...I always get the roasted pork (lechon ) its so good! Def get a bunch of the small plate apps and share them. Never had a bad dish here.

Their fish , black beans , sweet plantains , and white rice combo 👌👌 play some Doninoes while you wait too, they're under the counter near the kitchen.

Heaven on earth. When u walk in it's like being transported to Cuba. Best food/ ambience for a great price. Family friendly at day and romantic and fun by night

The oxtail is falling off the bone. The fish (red snapper ) is hanging on the plate. Took mom and dad for anniversary and they had a great time. Worth the wait.

Had lunch with a group of about 15. We were seated in the private room next to the stairs. The food was great, we brought our own vino for the sangrias . Wait staff was a bit slow but attentive.

Authentic Cuban ? It won't disappoint. Prices are good and food is great. It is the loudest place on earth though. BYOB skip the Sangria .

BYO Mojitos & Sangria . You bring the liquor they make the mixers. Chicken empanadas . Churrasco is MASSIVE! Tender and DELISH. Maduros . LOUD . Great atmosphere! GREAT CUBAN!

Enjoy a night in Cuba for a change--order the goat cheese fritters and albondegas. The Vaca Frita is terrific--salty and crispy and the plantains are cooked just right. Highly recommended!

Great cuban food and the back patio makes you feel like you're in Miami. The owner liked my buddies hat, so he comped us dessert . 

The food here is decent and the tapas menus is a lot of fun for a light bite. My only complaint here is the long wait and the service is usually slow.

I ordered the Brasil Oxtail and it comes with white rice , black beans and sweet plantains . It was soooooooooooo good. Definitely a 10 on a scale of 1.0 to 10.0.

One of the best restaurants in Montclair. Nice, good music , waitress excellent, food excellent... Everything's so good about this place!

Gets super crowded . The host/hostess tends to over exaggerate waiting times. We waited for about 40 minutes, but was told it would take 1.5 hours to get seated. It's also byob . Pork suckling is great!

If you don’t like loud music , don’t come here. I think very reasonable prices with big portions . Get the coconut rice !

Very good food. Apps are cheap . Meals are a little on the pricy side especially since it's a college area. Very loud inside in the smaller rooms.

They need a waiting room and the sangria wasn't impressive BUT the food, the ambiance and the service are SO AMAZING that the aforementioned are easily forgotten! Try the Pernil con Tostones ! YUM!

Food is great and the price is reasonable. Love the chorizo and dates off the tapas menu . Only downside is the wait to get in and BYOB .

Great Cuban food . Amazing atmosphere. Really long my wait times which can exceed two hours prime time on a Saturday. I'd advise showing up early.

Sangria is great. Large portions so you will definitely walk away with food on hand. Impromptu music by our waitstaff . Dessert is not the best but the entrees make up for that.

mojito chicken is amazing! This place is BYOB so the drink list (mojitos and sangrais) DO NOT contain alcohol , so be sure to bring some wine or some coconut or pineapple rum for mojoitos.

I love the BYOB and atmosphere. I always feel like I'm on a vacation when I go here. Their concept is so original and unique.

Bring your own wine to make sangria at the table. Stellar food, fun atmosphere . Place is bustling so very slow service, but the ambiance and food make it easier to deal with.

It was my first time there. I did not know they had that many tables. The food was really good. I would come back. Was able to be seated right away around 6.15 on a Saturday.

Food & drinks were delish! Loved our Sangria ! Service & management were poor... had heard horror stories about it but actually witnessed it for myself.

Ohmygawd... All I can think about is that Churrasco El Gaucho definitely my new "goto" can't wait until my next encounter

Pure love!!! Cuban Pete's has the best staff , food, and decor. Escape the mundane life and go to Cuban Pete's and experience nirvana of all your senses.

Start off with the picadillo con tostones ...you can't go wrong with the vaca frita as your main entree! Then end your meal with a cup of the cafe con leche and a slice of their tres leches !

Definitely a fun environment and the Sangrias are great, but not even close to the best restaurant in Montclair. It's a cheap , cool place to grab a bite though!

Good Cuban food . We liked the churrasco steak and coco fish with coconut rice . Fun atmosphere .

Never a bad time at this happening Havana!!! Order any of their appetizers and anyone of their steaks - one of the best meals ever!!!

It's a lot of fun but the patio an get really sunny and hot. Try for an indoor table close to door opening into patio :)

Get the pork , plantains , rice n' beans . Simple and awesome. Super juicy. Be warned: It. Is. HUGE!

the atmosphere is terrific, the flan is some of the best I've ever had, the pulled pork & naked paella were fantastic.. really you can't lose here

Don't know how people manage not dancing while eating their meals here. Lol Atmosphere reminds me of South Beach . Steak w chimichurri sauce !

BYOB for their amazing sangria mix. The food is also incredible, especially the suckling pig !

Try the churrasco - Super flavorful steak . The rice had a slight lime flavor too and was amazing.

Get a little taste of everything and get their $4 appetizers ! Bacon wrapped dates and ceviche are a must! And the potato stuffed things are good too!
