Open since 1948, Nick’s is a Chinatown staple with as much throwback appeal as you could possibly imagine. The stools are worn, it’s cash only , and plates full of ham and eggs come out fast and often. Read more
Nick's serves the best American diner food to be had in LA. Portions are enormous, everything is fresh. The benedicts here are out of control. I like the "Day Lights" section for a smaller breakfast .
Nick's is a great diner to visit if you want a step up from your neighborhood greasy spoon, particularly if you're in the mood for ham and eggs . Read more
An old-school authentic roadhouse-style diner . Opened in 1948 it has a single U-shaped counter with seats & serves only breakfast & lunch . Cash only .
Old school, cash only diner on the edge of Chinatown. The servings are huge and the coffee is good. Eggs and ham or scrambled eggs rancho style are my usuals. Pancakes are also brilliant.
Best ham an eggs on the planet! I can only dream of a breakfast place like this back in Belgium.
The place for breakfast in DTLA. They do all the breakfast staples well . Especially their fried ham & eggs and pancakes .
Friendly people every time I come here! That applies to both staff and patrons, mostly local, working folks. U-shaped counter seating , simple diner fare and cash only . Opens early (5:30 am)!
The best breakfast in los angeles. Get here before 9am (trust me). Find it tucked away on the outskirts of downtown
The eggs Benedict . Go on a weekend and effing get one! Amazing food, friendly staff . The best kind of hole in the wall place.
I've always had great service here. They may be just a diner , but they're a GREAT diner .
Worth the wait on the weekends, bottomless coffee and big portions fuel my day!

This place is amazing. Awesome food, amazingly friendly and fun service and a very welcoming! Will be making this place a regular for breakfast !
I can see why this place is so popular; great food, friendly staff , and good vibes all make for an excellent diner experience! : )
Everything. From food to the service. But biscuits and gravy .
Go on the weekend and try anything from the eggs benedict menu. The "west coast" is my favorite!
Make sure to check out the specials, best Eggs Benedict in town , usually 6 to 8 types. On the weekend get there before 11:am if you don't want to wait.
It is not boasting when they say they have the best ham and eggs in town . The ham is just the right kind of salty and sweet and so moist.
Go with biscuit and hash browns with whatever you order, and make sure to request tomato preserves, which aren't normally on the counter.
By far the best benedicts on this side of town !!!!!!!!!
Great food, BIG portions , really cool ambience. A must in L. A.!!
Had the huevos rancheros and it was amazing. It packs a little heat as you dig in, but it's quite flavorful.
Great ham breakfast burrito during the week. Eggs benny on the weekend.
Best sausage I've ever had at a restaurant . Order the French toast "light"! Amazing. French toast is big enough for 2, BTW.
Great for breakfast , friendly staff , and they do to-go orders :)
the staff were very nice but the food was kind of overpriced for the quality, which was lower than i expected. it has mostly outdoor seating which is fine but it smelled like sewage outside :/
Yummy. Had the club eggs bennie , so good!
Monday funday! Plan on taking a big nap because after all this food you are going to crash... In a good way
Patio dining is awesome. Good place to stop after a bike ride .
Be sure to check out the Eggs Benedict specials!
Their hash browns , ham , fresh jam and salsa are the best in DTLA. Service is exceptional.
It's cash only here. Make sure to have some or use the ATM inside with a $2.75 surcharge.
Try it. It's worth it. Great burger . Looks like they fixed up the outside but still hole in the wall Dortha charm inside
Chorizo breakfast burrito with the housemade salsa . Do it.
Believe the hype about the ham . Also- best french toast I've ever had. Very welcoming wait staff !

Best place for a Sunday Funday. Get the eggs benedict or fail

Gotta get here before 10, otherwise you'll wait 20+ min to sit.
Pancakes with blueberries , strawberries and banana
Biscuits and Gravy are the bomb.
Our pancakes were all burnt. Food was only okay. I'm not sure why there was a 25 minute wait at 10am.
Legit! Order small, you get a lot!
get the ham . and a biscuit . it's amaaaazing.
Chorizo chilaquiles are the way to go...
Sooo much better than House of Pies. The menu is pretty standard. Awesome spot for breakfast and late dinner - Merlyn Reyes
They have a good mexican wrap and i love sitting in the sun on their porch with my pup on saturdays! - Tayte Lamb
Classic diner grub and diner portions. Friendly staff - the cooks will wave hello! Chili cheese fries, burgers are all excellent. Cash only - Brandon Hoang
Large park in Chinatown at the Metro Gold Line stop; great for hanging out, walking your dog, or if you want some outdoor space. Plenty of parking on the street and/or lots as well. - Kelley L.
Please do yourself a favor and try the larb burger. The green tea brick toast is pretty good too, though huge. And the Thai tea latte sounds better than it tastes. Good space for getting work done. - Connie Chiu
