Check the blackboard for the day's oyster selection and know this: If it's there, it's probably from the East Coast and it's almost certainly delicious. Don't forget to stop by the raw bar . Read more

Brick chicken , marrow bones , and oysters are all dishes that send Manhattanites running over the Williamsburg bridge to try this restaurant . We think their lattes are worth the bridge run!

Nicola

This place is just amazing. Food is simple and very tasty, great to go with the French natural wines on the list or with the cocktails from the bar . Very prof staff helps a lot!

Eater

Like Pies ‘N’ Thighs, Marlow and Sons opts for a biscuit to serve its breakfast sandwich . Egg and cheese are served simply on a flakey biscuit , with the added touch of sautéed greens on the side Read more

Sit outside on a nice day during off hours (3-5pm) and order a cheese plate and some wine . Perfection.

Jackie Ferrer

Insider tip: if there is a brown bag by the door snag it on your way out for an after dinner treat as it is free DELICIOUS baked goods from the day. This menu is fantastic and it changes daily.

Melissa Weiss

Adorable, nice indoor and outdoor space . Not single vegan option though. Go for the almond cortado and hang with your omnivore friends

You can always find oysters , cured meats , and the famous brick chicken on the dinner menu , as well as rustic , market-driven specials. Read more

Whatever main you choose (they are all good), get an order of the Brussels sprouts . Lightly fried and sprinkled with Parmesan . Don't forget to pick up a bag of pastries on your way out. They're free!

Kat C

Love the crispy rice bowl , sausage , egg and cheese biscuit , iced chai latte , and great pastries , particularly any scone with clotted cream and jam .

Ben K.

There's a reason this place has been a Williamsburg staple for sometime. Excellent cocktails , but most importantly incredible food and experience. Order several starters and the brick chicken .

A Williamsburg institution. Friendly staff and high quality ingredients. Brunch is fantastic. Recommend the biscuit and eggs as a primer -- the scones and spinach pie are among the best in NYC!

Jordan M

The oysters & brick chicken are always excellent but if you make it in for brunch , the squid ink farro is quite special.

Rodrigo Cid

This place is so awesome you can be sure to have an amazing meal if you do exactly as I say: start with some oysters , them get the crostini , a salad and or soup , the pasta , and any protein of the day.

I stopped in here for iced coffee and the guy behind the counter was super nice! Also, they have almond milk and oat milk for anyone who likes milk alternatives !! :)

Leah Hammerschlag

Love this place. Perfect for all occasions. Enjoyed everything. The "Bianca pizza " is basically an overpriced plain focaccia , yet it was so good we got a 2nd order.

vivan thi tang

without a doubt, a nyc fave.. ALWAYS! from the oysters to the tortilla de patata to the salads to the brick chicken to the pastas to the chocolate caramel tart with sea salt to the breakfast biscuit !

Condé Nast Traveler

"There's a great tortilla Española and reliably wonderful brick chicken , a clever list of natural wines , and probably the best playlist of any restaurant in NYC (well , if you like disco ).” - Gabe Ulla Read more

Earl grey scone was so good, sautéed greens/soft boiled eggs / sausage egg cheese ( tiny size. Like weirdly small. but with REALLY good biscuits . ) all v good and will def come back

Colton Staab

Innovative farm-to-table cuisine that rotates weekly. This week was Asian-inspired and everything was spectacular. Highly recommend the white fish katsu

We love this place! You must get the Chicken Liver Pate and a whole lot of oysters to start. The dinner specials change daily, and we recommend ordering one of them.

Hank

Went for lunch . It's counter service with food brought to table. Liver pate , Potato tortilla (not sure why it's called that, it's like a cake ) and salami 's were delicious.

Jen Katan

Food was local, fresh, gorgeous, a great nautical feeling/trendy vibe (apparently historically an oyster bar ). The service can with a large whiff of pretentiousness though.

Leah Oz

If you happen to be here for lunch , the crispy rice bowl is the perfect meal. And their chocolate chip cookie is the best I've had in New York!

Jen Katan

This food was gorgeous, and it's got a great nautical feeling/trendy vibe (apparently historically an oyster bar ). The service can with a large whiff of snubbery though.

Charlottes

Super good feels about this place. Freshest of oysters , divine beef tartare , buratta and funky natural wine . What more could a girl want?

Basak

One of my favorite date spots with delicious cocktails . Start with potato tortilla and meat plate.

Jim Taylor

Love the restaurant in back for a cozy , dimly lit brunch or dinner , and the welcoming, homey front shop for some of our favorite coffee in town . Read more

Everything is always amazing. Whiskey selection is impressive. And if you're an LCD Soundsystem fan, this is the place they have the final dinner in "Shut Up and Play the Hits".

Alex Bosworth

Once upon a time this was a very hip and interesting place to eat but its hipster identity feels a bit dated now. The food is fine still but it’s not really pushing any new ideas forward

Mamie Rheingold

The Shadowfax was a perfect drink. A delicate balance of whisky , Earl Greg and egg white . Not too sweet, not too strong. Not too much of anything -- except possibly too good.

Charlotte Cusano

Go here. Ask no questions. Everything is delicious.

Andrea Barrezueta

Really nice meal and great location for a date. Go for the pork over the chicken . Both are great but the pork is by far a better meal altogether

Danika Landers

A neighborhood staple of mine. The eggs are great. Try the crispy rice bowl to change it up, also so good!

Silvia Butta Calice

Best place to eat in Williamsburg! I had the best poached egg with roasted squash ! It is a must go place!

Katie Stone

The egg & rice bowl is awesome as is the Bloody Mary . Lovely atmosphere, service fab. Definitely a great place for brunch .

Dan Nabavian

Morning coffee and baked goods are the best. The oysters and brick chicken are their staples. But keep an eye out for specials.

Julian Ferdman

This is the best cafe in williamsburg for pastries and food, and it's not close.

Catríona Lohan-Conway

Love the baked goods here especially when they make multiple cakes with same ingredients yet so so different. Today was coconut ! My fab apart fr rhubarb !

Reasonable amount of social conscience without hitting you over the head with it. Steak looks well rested, it's a beautiful thing & they serve ribeye , the king of steaks - it's fatty, tasty, delicious.

Lindsay Eyink

They serve Four Barrel coffee and the honey butter biscuit will make your heart melt.

AmateurConcierge

Pork cutlet , however used, is always good. Chicken Soup is light and spicy ....despite its size, not really enough for a meal

Chrysanthe Tenentes

order everything and split it. oysters , brick chicken , pasta , crostini . save room for their seasonal dessert . if you're into candy , get the signature caramel sea salt tart

Ioannis Iliadis

CoZy and hipster drinking and dinning place . Nice atmosphere !

Cheryl Nguyen

The brick chicken will leave you impressed with the tender unctiousness that's possible with bird. So incredible

Duncan PJ

The brick chicken I had here was the best chicken dish I had in brooklyn.

Matt Rabinovitch

Great food, great service. Get the brick chicken and the beer with lemonade . This place knows how to make a dish.

Laura Lachman

Seasonal menu , dim lighting , old apothecary feel to the space. You will be sitting on a stool literally on top to the person next to you, but it's worth it.
