Say hi to Kirby the Lung fish ! Definitely set aside a two or so hours to go through the main exhibit of the museum . It will take you from the dawn of time to modern day through beautiful displays.
They have a wonderful exhibit on Technology and the history of computers. I recommend starting there so the museum doesn't close on you. It is off to the right by the Dynatheater .
Pretty good museum but a lot of kids with no parental control. A la practicing gymnastics and climbing on the exhibits . Parents, please remind your kids to be respectful. This is a museum , not a gym .
Lots of fun and always a favorite place for the family. The room with the snakes and insects is also very interesting (and this is from someone who hates bugs !).
The full-sized skeletons are a big hit, as is the Evolator, a time-travel simulation that takes you back in time to walk with the dinosaurs . Read more
Be sure to catch one of the shows in the planetarium . Located next to it is the Space Frontiers exhibit where you can explore the rich history that New Mexico has played in the exploration of space. Read more
There is sand from White Sands to make paw prints in. Only thing is, be prepared to be yelled at if your toddler likes to play with the sand.
Lots of varied exhibits . Lots of it over the head of my 3 year old but he enjoyed the dinosaurs .
I like this museum . They have some very interesting dinosaurs . Very big ones too.
Great exhibits of dinosaurs ...loved the Mars Rover models inside. Great place to get your future scientist or engineer interested!
The dinosaurs and planets were my favorites! Super friendly staff , as well .
Admission to the museum is free on the first Sunday of every month with a New Mexico ID.
I like this museum . It has so much information. Very nice place to visit.
The Museum’s permanent exhibit halls illustrate a “journey through time.” Read more
