It looks like another world down there! Dress as if your heading out to the beach and wear tennis shoes . I've been to a handful of caves and this one really takes the cake .
I prefer the Hidden Passages tour over the main tour (Discovery) because it's limited to a set number of people, it's guided with more details given, and the added experience of total darkness.
There are 2 caves here and each has its merits, we like the original cave better than the more recently discovered hidden passages cave . There's a ropes course and zip lines , too
Wear comfortable non-slip shoes , I wore tennis shoes . You will get wet from natural water droplets and puddles. Be hydrated 99% humidity . There’s a lot to do and price is fair .
Check out the "combo" ticket that gets you both the original tour and the "hidden passages" tour . The hidden passages tour is lots of steps rather than an inclined path.
Come for the cave tours . Everything else is a tourist trap. Try to keep up with the guide. It's hard to do if you want to take long exposures. Prepare to sweat!
I met a woman named Maria here who introduced me to spelunking. As well as how to explore dark places with your hands.
Discovery Tour was awesome. We actually saw one bat that flew around but the cave ..was breathtaking!
The 75-minute tour travels through a half-mile of the largest and most spectacular show cavern in Texas.
The caverns are cool but this place is SUPER touristy . Just be prepared.
The lantern tour is the best you get to explore the cave like how they discovered it. Go at 9 am no croud
Make sure you take strong tennis shoes . It is a very slippery and irregular way down. Otherwise, it is beautiful.
I did the discovery tour and it was pretty neat. The tour guide was funny as well .
It's cool to see, but the tour groups are way too big for the discovery tour . If you are claustrophobic, skip going on any tour .
Get here early (as in as soon as they open). The lines can get ridiculously long as the day goes by.
They give a free military ticket for those who are serving with active duty ID
A beautiful place to spend the day!
You gotta try the lemonade here, it's really sweet and good!
99% humidity down here. Wear comfortable shoes !
Cool place! Cool staff ! Definitely worth a visit!

Those bats have good taste in the home.
The Discovery Tour is free for active-duty military ; Hidden passage is 19.99.
This place was cool. I need to go back again sometime soon.
Zipline and Canopy Challenge are the best thing to do
No doubt valuable to visit @ least once.... But a little touristy to me....
Cool place but pricy . Climbing maze looks fun
Cavern tours . The hidden passage tour .
Don't miss the zip lining !
Fun times, great staff !
Long high walk to get out! No sandals are all!
Forget the coat!! And expect your camera lens to fog over.
Beautiful caves , better than the Inner Space Caverns(Austin)
Hence the name
Wear comfortable shoes
Get here as early as possible. Small groups at 9 AM crowds in the afternoon.
Humid like Houston inside. Dry like Vegas outside.
Its warm and humid in the caves ... not the cool humid you might have been expecting.
Gorgeous caverns , excessive lines
$50 for our family of 3 (a 70 min tour ) was a GREAT deal. Read more
