If you are a history nerd, you should definitely go check out the USS Lexington. It is a tight squeeze in parts, but worth it. You can even go on the top deck. Watch out for ghosts though ;)
Although it is a national treasure and a fun museum , an aircraft carrier is not the best for strollers so plan accordingly. Be sure to check out the 3D MEGA Theater ; it's free with your admission!
Very nice collection of Navy aircraft on a historic WWII aircraft carrier , excellent exhibits and presentation. A must visit when you are in Corpus Christi.
Amazing place but can get crowded in summer. This is a great tribute to our navy and veterans.
Wear pants and good walking/stair climbing shoes . If you can check out the entire ship, it's worth it! Don't forget the flight simulator!
Lots of things to see here. My six year old enjoyed climbing through the ship. I wish I could do the live aboard experience. Highly recommended.
The USS Lexington, an Essex-class aircraft carrier , was the oldest working carrier in the U.S. Navy before it was decommissioned in 1991. Watch this video for more info. Read more
Despite of hot and humidity weather, the place was great. But the management should make attractive things on the ship.
Go early before crowds pour in midday and you'll have better freedom to explore the huge ship. The IMAX that is included in ticket is a must. Take your pics of Texas State Aquarium from flight deck .
Loved the ship. Wish they had a little more customer service. But loved all the history on this boat.
Great and friendly staff . Very hospitable to disabled people. Awesome experience.
Was fun! Went with kids that didn't care about the history. Steps are a bit steep and was sore the next day but was fun!
Maybe don't wear a dress or a skirt due to the wind and the stairs . Or just wear your best skivvies.
Wow, This is an awesome adventure....Can't imagine working on a ship like this, I'd be lost for days, Steep steps, but worth it...So much history...
This is a very intetesting museum . Don't miss if you are ever in the area.
Plan to be there for half the day 4 or 5 hours to really see everything. This place is huge.
Visit Dots before 5:30pm and order Ziegen Bock. Male sure you pound them before curfew at 6. Mr Mark is the best!!
