Awesome dim sum . Try to get here by 11 on the weekend to avoid the massive crowd of locals. Also, pace yourself, you'll see brand new items an hour or more into your meal that you'll want to sample

Julie Bi

Lines get long for dimsum on weekends, if you don't want to wait make sure to get there before noon! If you don't see your favorite item try asking, sometimes they can make it and bring it to you!

Nora Thajudeen

Go for the dim sum ! They close it by 4pm, after which is the dinner service that is very expensive ! So go early and eat your fill! Chicken feet are incredible! Must try!

Ljubica

It's an extremely popular dim sum place for a reason. Everything is delicious and fresh. On weekends, if you don't want to wait, come before noon or after 2pm.

Melissa Chai

Get here before 11 am on weekends to avoid a long wait . Best dim sum in Chinatown

Untapped Cities

If you don't end up with 2-3 times as many bamboo baskets as you have people at your table, you're doing it wrong. Want a good seat? Come early on Sunday morning... it fills up quicker than you will. Read more

David Zhang

Solid choice for casual dim sum in Manhattan. They also serve nob-traditional dim sum dishes like Peking duck etc. Come before 11a on weekends to avoid the wait.

Ina Li

One of the best dim sum places in New York with lots of tables. Get the shrimp dumplings , chicken feet , small pork chops , radish cake , Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce and definitely Egg Tart !!!

Marie La Rue

Dumplings were excellent. Convivial, efficient service , super cheap . They brought us a few vegetarian options once requested. Good for groups .

Meng He

Try the fried sticky pork dumplings ! A crispy and chewy tapioca shell and a savory and sweet pork filling. THE BEST!

Justin T

Shrimp dumplings , roast pork buns , chicken feet , basically everything is good. More expensive than most dim sum restaurants in Chinatown, but for a reason: quality food. Crowded on holidays & wknds

Stina P.

one of the best dim sum spots in the city . the wait is worth it but get there semi hungry. you feel like you win the lottery when they call your table number!

Tom

One of the more popular and better dim sum spots in Manhattan. Often busy on the weekends but worth the wait.

Nath M

When you see that perfectly fried shrimp and bacon nugget with the Pringle on the side. ALSO! Be sure to get the pan fried rice noodles with peanut sauce before they run out.

Madge

Non-English speaker friendly (point and look at photos on outside of cart !). Lots of delicious, good selections. Service very accommodating. Also carries fried durian rolls.

Winnie

Highly recommended dim sum dishes: har gao (crystal shrimp dumplings - they shape them like bunnies here!), har cheung (shrimp rice roll ), dan tat (egg tart ), law mai gai (rice cooked in lotus leaves

Simon

Best dim sum place downtown and I've tried them all , defiantly worth the wait. Get your hands on the duck if it passes you by. Also the spinach dumpling is the best and explodes in your mouth

Get My Grub On! www.getmygrubon.co

Pretty good for outside Asia and they have all the ladies with the rolling wagons around. Beancurd skin with crunchy bamboo shoot were my favorite.

Caroline Deng

Get the piggy custard buns ! A little bit pricier than Jing Fong but much smaller line . Get there at around 10:30 to avoid the long lines .

Thy Dinh

It's like going to bingo waiting for your number to be called for a table! Worth it for food, one of the best for dim sum in NYC. Arrive before 12pm if you're in a large group.

Swift Swift

Dim Sum is way better than a typical NYC brunch . The wait here is obnoxious though. The best carts only come around once in a while, so make sure you take your time ordering.

Belle Huang

Favorite dim sum place in Manhattan. Go 10am early on weekends to avoid the crowds. Get the green balls and Peking duck , you won't regret it.

Audrey Lo

This has recently become my favorite place for dim sum . It's not oily, non salty and fresh. They also have one of the best chicken feet dish I've ever had, so far.

Honghui Yu

Popular dim sum hall serving up all the usual suspects, but the must-try here is the piggie bun filled with egg yolk custard !

Renaissance Hotels

Sunday morning like 10:30 is good time to go. After that, literally a lot of people starts to come. To get a table and be seated, all people have to be there.

Luke

Definitely suggest going with a bigger group, for no other reason than you will get a better table AND be able to try more stuff. But do show up by 1130

Daisy

Veeeeery Chinese indeed! Fun to have lunch in a so genuine place!!!! Of course you have to wait, but they are well organized

FamilyFun

Tops for dim sum — shrimp dumplings , port buns , sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, and other dishes on carts that waiters roll right up to your table. Located on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Quian Pan

sauteed egg yolk buns , steamed bean curd rolls, sesame rolls, dau fu fa with ginger-infused honey .

James L

Plenty of pictures and names on the carts . Food can be inconsistent. When it's good, it's amazing. However, I have gone on off-days. I've never had to wait for 2 people.

Natasha A

Get there early and avid the crowds who are there for a superb variety of dim sum delights. End the meal with a durian-stiffed pastry or bitter melon balls.

Spotted by Locals - city guides by locals

Turnip cake (made from Chinese radish and rice flour ) makes the meal unique. They usually run out by noon, so request them as soon as you sit down! Read more

Allen Yang

Narrowly the best dimsum place in Manhattan. Gets really crowded for weekend lunch , so come either before 11:30 or after 1:30pm.

Karen

Dim sum here is so delicious! Try the little piggy buns filled with minced pork .

David Heiser

Good food, dicey service. Really liked the bean curd and pork dumplings

Margarita Krup

Great dim sum . Come early, the wait is usually an hour. Try the pork buns , duck , and everything else you see

Paige C

Was told the wait would be 30 minutes, but it was really 90. Worth the wait? Not really. Food was good, but there are much better options in the same neighborhood .

Winnie

Delicious dim sum . Best in all of NYC! Expect a 30 minute wait on weekends. Egg tarts run out early so order them first!

Lani Aiko

Great dim sum plates. It’s busy but not overcrowded. Would go back again.

Melody Han

Dim sum gets super busy around 11am on weekends, but worth the wait to come at noon when they bust out the goodies: snails, clams , tripe (along with the usual dumplings and shumai ). So cheap , too!

Neelu Elizabeth

Everything is amazing! Just point and order off the carts . You will leave full and happy.

Melissa Nanquil

Very fast and good service . If you can't wait, ask a server to see if they have dishes available outside and they'll get it for you.

Colin M. Ford

Dim sum style, you take what you want off of carts circling the room. Just get what looks good, it’s an adventure!

What's Good Here

Come here for great dim sum . Not as severely crowded as Jin Fong, but there is still a wait so come early and get into the list.

Rustik Urmanshin

One of the best dim sum spots

Kimmie Ohh

Aside from dim sum & dumplings , get their crispy chicken & deep fried pork chops with Peking sauce!

Yvette Liu

Authentic , old fashioned dimsum ! Must try.... Everything

Patrick Baskin

One of the best dim sum in Manhattan, pork buns and shrimp rice cakes are delicious

Christen Duong

If you're not up for a schelp to Flushing or Sunset Park , this is probably the best dim sum you'll come by.
