Great Sam Smith's pub with quirky areas inside. Has nothing to do with Game of Thrones but I'm sure they've gained some patronage because of it. Named after the doctor who discovered Cholera ...

Ouicestmoi

Traditional english pub in the heart of Soho. More than affordable to start your night out!! Nice crowd roo :)

Andy Halvorsen

Steak Pie . Fish n Chips . Get the Bitter Ale . It gets a bad rap but I had a great experience.

Mike Barnard

Enjoy it here with its upstairs - plenty of comfy chairs , spacious bar and good vibe. Downstairs can be hectic as pretty cramped.

Chase

Very authentic sam smiths pub . Beers on tap are good but there's more variety in the fridge . Delicious oatmeal stout

Linda Sandvik

named after the dude who did the first mashup - of cholera deaths and water wells - to discover how cholera was spread

You know nothin' John Snow. Great pub . It's a Sam Smith's, so cheap booze. Recommend the alpine lager for just over £2

Shali Nguyen

My wife and I stopped here on our first date!

Jennifer Carter

Sammy smiths so cheap , and a tiny door !!!! Also kudos for the Game of Thrones name :D

David

Sam Smiths brewer-owned pub , meaning cheap and good beer . Attracts a pretty down to earth crowd.

Nico R

Cheap beer , slightly shabby interior (which is good), and the name. (Pro tipp: Don't ask the staff about bastards.)

James Brenchley

Taddy Lager is nice and pretty cheap for London (£3.24 a pint). Lots of young people. Good pub .

Racco

Good old Samuel Smiths . Assuring a northerner can have a pint in Lindon at close to northern prices.

HISTORY UK

The physician John Snow investigated a cholera epidemic in Soho in 1854 and made the breakthrough that cholera was water-borne. By turning off the public water pump here he saved many lives.

Jess

One of the most affordable and personable pubs in Soho.

Busy though cheap ! Reliable Sam Smith's place, a haven in overpriced Soho.

Nice atmosphere and ale selection .

Named after the doctor who helped identify the source of a cholera outbreak in Soho, England, in 1854.

Generic London pub and after work drinks place.

Perhaps the pub with the most important historical connection in London. If you don't know John Snow's story, look it up now.

Beer cheap , but red wine (cab sauv) pricey and over-sweet.

On 14 April 2011 The Guardian reported that a gay couple were ordered to leave after kissing. The management of the pub accused them of being obscene and rudely ordered them out. Shameful staff ...
