This hidden gem is perhaps best undiscovered by wrong crowd. Delicious food, excellent yet very friendly service . Makes you feel very special. Steak , steak pie and the sides are all delicious.
Classic great old steak house . Though the meat was a little tough check it out for the incredible ambience and sense of London history...
I’ve been to most of London’s steak houses and this one is definitely upper quartile, nice feel to the place, only criticism is that it’s a little small so can be cramped for the larger patron
Beautiful pub as they ought to be. Fortunately never 'pimped up' like so many of London's public houses. The restaurant is very good too (excellent steaks and pies ).
Happened upon this pub while wandering through Mayfair. Sleepy pub with a good pint of Guinness and an apparently well booked out restaurant .
Great steaks but you have to pay for it. Add the Béarnaise . And ask the Sommelier for the perfect wine .
Pass through a secret door at the back of an unremarkable Mayfair pub and arrive in a magical, amber-glowing chophouse straight out of Dickens. Read more
This is as old school as old school can get. A historic gem preserved from the 50s. Food is decent but not more.
Steak , wine list and old school hospitality
Busy pub & Restaurant , steak & mushroom pie at the bar - incedible
Very traditional place with great meat and service
Pretty man only good meat and bits and in a pub environment
Great fillet steak with Bearnaise , but really enormous. Couldn't manage a pudding .
Est. 1952. Recommended for steak & kidney pie .
Unbelievably slow—3:30h to have Sunday roast . It took 1h just to bring us the menu, and not an offer from staff to bring water or drinks or... food was ok, but not worth this extreme wait
This place is pretty presumptuous for an average steakhouse . Food was fine, wine overpriced, and service just weird.... it has a personality disorder, pub restaurant or posh one?
A decent pie venue and home of the Pie Institute of Excellence (P.I.E) club.
Great Pub , but if you don't want pub food go around the corner to the Mayfair Mews, its excellent.
Gorgeous steak :)
Sirloin , steak and kidney pie

Great steak and nice service. Gorgeous salad, unless you're not keen on mustard. - Greg Jenkins
Fish and chips! And a huge draft cider. Yum! Friendly staff as well, recommended! - Emma Wijninga
Window seats at the front are the best; a great late night option. Solid cocktails and bar snacks. - Tomas Furlong
Such a beautiful atmosphere and interiors. Definitely try the whisky coctails. A place to impress. - Asli O
