South Street Seaport

South Street Seaport offers some great shopping options with beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Promenade. Come here early and watch the boats dock for the day.

Dedicated to NY's maritime history, South Street Seaport is known for its water taxis and large boats. But stroll down the peer with an ice cream cone to feel like you’re almost on a beach boardwalk.

Fun area to hang out in very lower Manhattan which otherwise is a fairly square business area. During the you also get to enjoy a number of events , ice skating and a tree with Carolers

So sad that the original south street seaport mall has to close down because of hurricane sandy :(. The new south street seaport can’t compare, but there is a huge improvement - plenty of new stores!

Awesome place to walk around! Dog friendly , super trendy , upcoming restaurants . Fun on weekends!

Visit in the summer time for the concert series or pop-up events . Great for happy hour on weekdays. There's also a great dog park on South St. 124.

Tons of tourists here but still a great destination for shopping, eating, and drinking. Our favorite spot down here still remains Beekman Beer Garden .

This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in NYC. Just follow your nose and walk! Stop by Fishmarket for some fresh oyster or sip up some well curated bottles at Pasanella & Son Vintners next door.

The port now features many shops and restaurants but we recommend the South Street Seaport Museum for an in depth look at what was once one of the busiest seaports in America.

Come for the lighter crowds and comfy river lounging . It's a more historical feel but some charming smaller places that really focus on hospitality .

Checkout the old school Bowne & Co. shop, located right at Water Street. Lot's of cool letterpress and cards in there. It's right next to the South Street Seaport Museum .

The seaport is gorgeous. Great views of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges all aligned.

I think they are renovating part of the restaurant area near the deck. Overall very lively with crowd and live band/dance performance .

The upper terrace of the mall food court has lounge chairs that are perfect if you need to relax during your lunch break.

Had an argument with a horrendous worker at the food court , guy at register in cheese steak place. The security understood my complaints and were helpful at attentive!

Fun up and coming outdoor markets , but the Market Bar on the advertising materials does not exist anymore.
