Dedicated to NY's maritime history, South Street Seaport is known for its water taxis and large boats. But stroll down the peer with an ice cream cone to feel like you’re almost on a beach boardwalk.
Fun area to hang out in very lower Manhattan which otherwise is a fairly square business area. During the you also get to enjoy a number of events , ice skating and a tree with Carolers
So sad that the original south street seaport mall has to close down because of hurricane sandy :(. The new south street seaport can’t compare, but there is a huge improvement - plenty of new stores!
Awesome place to walk around! Dog friendly , super trendy , upcoming restaurants . Fun on weekends!
Visit in the summer time for the concert series or pop-up events . Great for happy hour on weekdays. There's also a great dog park on South St. 124.
Tons of tourists here but still a great destination for shopping, eating, and drinking. Our favorite spot down here still remains Beekman Beer Garden .

The seaport is gorgeous. Great views of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges all aligned.
I think they are renovating part of the restaurant area near the deck. Overall very lively with crowd and live band/dance performance .

Had an argument with a horrendous worker at the food court , guy at register in cheese steak place. The security understood my complaints and were helpful at attentive!
