Houtou Fudou

Lunch idea for friends, couple or family when visiting Kawaguchigo Lake . Convenient parking , spacious , lot of tables. Signature menu is Yamanashi -style flat noodle in hot soup (no meat only veggie )

Wow indeed! The servings are large and yes, English menu inside. Order hoto fudo.. It's the best! Cash only !

What a size!!!! Its huge. You can just share one with your girl friend. I have to wait 15m to get a table and another 20m for the food. But its great btw.

Huge serving and reasonably priced. Most of all, the hoto noodles and its soup is going to rock your socks off! Highly recommended!

The houtou noodles are amazing - they’re thick and chewy and so great. One pot can easily serve two people unless you’re starving.

After long day hiking around Mt. Fuji it was very nice to also get some energy back with this delicious local ramen .

Unless you're really starving or you're a bear, share a cauldron of houdou with someone. It's enormous and delicious!

Houtou is huge. Good for 2 pax. Priced at 1080yen per pot. The broth tastes like miso+pumpkin, not sweet at all, it's good!

It was closed before we arrived at 1800 hours. The website states to call and confirm wether the restaurant is open if planning to visit after 1600 hours on a weekday.

Special Local Cuisine

観光 地の駅前なので、あまり期待せずに入りましたが出汁が効いてとても美味しかった。一人前が大きな丸鍋で出てきたので食べきれないかも ？と思ったけれど、無事完食。具は野菜 と揚げなので、胃もたれもありませんでした。

ほうとうは1種類のみ。肉 なしのタイプで、素朴ながら野菜 の旨味が感じられます。卓上の自家製 七味で味変可。

美味しいほうとう が食べられるが、量がとても多い。ラーメン 大盛り くらい。他の料理（馬刺し・ビール など）をいただくなら、ほうとうは二人で半分こにするとベター。

富士五湖名物 ～ 来自不動的《馎饦》。在味增湯放入嚼劲十足的面条，再加入南瓜????，富士山????的山菜烹煮。朴素的食材，融入了店家引以为豪的独特浓厚的鲜味与口感。

２名で出かけるとかなりの確率で相席になるので、熱愛中カップルには向かないかも （笑）。ただ御味の方は侮りがたし。観光 地で駅前なのにこのクオリティか、と驚くことができるんじゃないかな。
