We were visiting Scottsdale and were searching for a playground for our young kids (2 and 4). We stumbled on this gem and returned multiple times to ride the train and play. Great for small kids.
Dog friendly , kid friendly & family friend park . If you like trains , this is a very unique park in Scottsdale, AZ. I definitely recommend you get there early and check out all the cool mini-museums.
Bring your kids and ride the train -- a couple bucks for like a 10-minute ride. Christmas setup is amazing with awesome lights display , hot chocolate , etc. (but get there early since line gets LONG).
On my Phoenix metro dog friendly list. Personally verifying each one. On leash park . Take your pooch for a train ride, if they fit on your lap! Some buildings are not dog friendly so ask first.

Get here early for picnic tables , they go fast. Or bring camping chairs and small table. The ramadas are great for company, family and birthday parties/picnics.

Ten bucks for 12 tickets which gets a family of 4 on the merry go round and the train once. I came here as a kid and I'm glad I could take my kid now.:)
It's a wonderful place for any family to spend the day outdoor. It's a bonus if your child loves trains , like mine. :)
Great for kids!!! Train rides, carousel & playground .
Even though it's October, don't wear short shorts to park and sit on metal bench that's partially shaded. owieee!
Cool train park with a carousel.
Great spot for any train enthusiast, young or old.
The free train exhibit is great for little ones.
Two great playgrounds , one looks like an old west town , though they can get crowded .
