Step "down" into a bar that has more historical items than some museums , sit at the table Jack London wrote literary legend "Call of the Wild" and do it all while enjoying a cold beer or a cocktail .
Nice little dive bar with some history. Very friendly bartenders and the bar table is very unique. Great spot for warm days, just get your beer and hangout outside.
It's a cultural landmark and a tourist attraction , owing its striking curved floor to a long history of seismic activity since opening. Read more
This place has a back-to-the-past atmosphere where you can order a packaged snack and enjoy a Bloody Mary made with the house mix and a lager from Linden Street, an Oakland microbrewery .
Selected as one of the 2012 Bay Area 's Top 100 Bars by the SF Chronicle, in the Dives category. http://www.sfgate.com/wine/article/Bay-Area-s-Top-100-Bars-Dives-3674566.php
Right next to the port . Great place to go if you're new to the area and want to sample the flavor of Jack London Square.
Do not let the crooked & uneven floor throw you. This is the perfect spot for some after work drinks with friends & work colleagues..
Just the historical aspect is beyond imagination! Gas lighting, slanting floor due to foundation settling, and tiny!!!
Great outdoor seating , good beers on tap and super friendly staff . Definitely check it out.
So much history here. It's been open since 1883. I'm probably sitting where Jack London wrote Call of the Wild. You have to go here.
The most crooked bar in California! The floor and bar slant downward. The slanting is due to damage from the 1906 quake. They just didn't fix it! This place is small, quiet and intimate .
Small and cozy , full of atmosphere from back in the day. Watch out for the floor when you step in! Inside and outside seating , I suggest outside as there are few spots inside due to the size.
If you're sitting at the bar , take a look down. Your footrest used to be a complete pipe. It's been worn down to what you see from almost 150 years of feet resting there.
Great place to grab a drink and sit outside on a nice night. Recommended
Great deinks, amazing bartenders that had us laughing the whole time we were there
For a bit of history, stop by and grab a drink. Great outdoor seating , too, but have at least one at the historic bar .
outdoor seating at a great locals bar . atmosphere can't be beat
Bring your dog and sit on the patio or just bring your puppy over for a sip of water at the light post.
So much personality. It's tipped because of an earthquake in the early 20th century.
Few better spots to have a cold beer and sit outside watching the sails .
One of my favorite spots. Nice outdoor seating area .
This is a very place everyone must check out.
Great place to sit outside and grab drinks with people
Tim is awesome! It's a museum with alcohol :)
Great for afternoon drinking outside
Old. hilarious. hole in the wall . Historic. Small. Awesome.
The nicest people in town !
Very cool bar next to Jack London 's cabin
I got stung by a wasp! The bartender took care of me.
The floor is slanted from the 1906 earthquake . Be careful with your drink when sitting at the bar .

Lots of history here.
For a change, it's the bar that's crooked instead of the owner.
You're not drunk, the bar is crooked! ... Well maybe it's both.
And the history continues...
Irish coffee ftw.
Best bar ever
Awesome Bloody Mary's and beer !
Good place to go if you miss your Amtrak train ...only 4 minutes walk from the station.
Basically the McSoreley's of the Bay Area .
Great music !
Don't mind the washroom camera or alligator
ask what kind of special beer they just got. normally yummersz!
#pachakutech better tip for heinold's
Apparently the oldest bay Area bar ?
People-watching nonpareil.
Sit outside.
The bar is limited and kind of weak.
Ask Tim for a joke.
They have both Fernet AND Russian Standard.
Great Oakland bar. Always something interesting going on. Great jukebox always learning new tunes - Marshall St. Clair
Cash only, love the pours and love the ambience. Billiard table ain't that hot, though. - Byron Wilkes
One of my favorite dive bars. The 22oz PBR's and tall pours of Jamison gets you going. It's dark and casual with plenty of seating. - Josh DeFigueiredo
Pepperoni and Sausage are made in house. Tried the sausage, excellent. Next is pepperoni. BEWARE ONION HATERS (red onions on almost everything even if not listed) - G.R. Medina
All around good experience. Food was good atmosphere was amazing !! Great family environment, great for romance as well. - Alisha Smart
Tons of outdoor seating, great beer garden, short happy hour. Love playing the bocce ball courts! - Leah W.
