Give yourself plenty of time at the Shelburne. This is a three-hour experience at a minimum. Would happily have spent all day here! The steamship and Impressionist art were highlights for us.
The grounds are expansive and beautiful. Better to come on a good weather day.

You need at least two days to see the whole museum .
There is a wonderful Ansel Adams exhibit-don't miss it. The Ticonderoga paddle boat is a site to see and the circus parade is phenomenal.

Make sure you feed your kids prior to coming here the food and drinks are expensive especially if your local and work for a living!

Thank you for a fabulous 2012 season. Museum reopens on Sunday, May 12, 2013 and this year we don't close!!

Bad move at deciding to have the VT Balloon Festival here. Shelburne Museum is great but the festival was too big for the space. Couldn't even get in. No parking . Very disappointing.
Take the jitney around the grounds to get an overview of what's on view where
Strollers everywhere! Can't these kids walk? There is an empty well behind me!
