Great hotel - the bedroom window opened, but not all of them do I was told, so remember to ask. I left my Kindle behind, they sent it on to me the next day. Great staff . Great service.
Indeed there are no lifts and its like a maze with so many fire doors, but if you are young and sprightly you'll enjoy the surrounds n big comfy bedrooms. But u'll need your own transport to get here.
ex Country House in magnificent garden setting. Quirky architecture is reflected in a warren of corridors & stairs, but all safe enough and adds to the charm. Wheelchair lift only goes to 1st floor.
Lovely staff especially Sue & Steve: late nite managers who were very accommodating & served with a smile regardless the issues. Just wished the hotel was better maintained as I found a bug in my tub.
