Forbidden Drive runs from the merging of the Monoshone and the Wissahickon Creeks (near Lincoln Drive) northward to Northwestern Ave. at the Philadelphia city limits—all the while running adjacent to Wissahickon Creek.
Northwestern Ave (at Andorra Rd) Philadelphia , PA 19118 United States
I highly recommend forbidden drive. It has one the best hiking trails ever.
Great for a stroll but if you're a runner, be careful. Lots of falls & injuries here. Dense foliage retains humidity in summer. Beware of car break-ins; hide your stuff or lock it in the trunk.
Beautiful park where you can easily get a 10+ mile run in
Beautiful trail along a river !
Parking is best halfway up Bells Mill on the Ridge Ave side.
A ton a shade, it's a good way to beat the heat and sunburn in July and August. Read more
The new shop, the Cedar House, has yoga and food. Their sandwiches are delish!

A great walking, running, cycling park. Chances are, you will see wildlife. Enjoy year round, but avoid after heavy rain for low lying sections of trail. - Cam Byrd
