Hollywood Cemetery is a living story in stone, iron and landscape. Designed in 1847 by noted architect John Notman of Philadelphia, Hollywood has been a fully-operational cemetery since the 19th century.

Weirdly enjoyable. With a guided map for a 1$ by car, foot or rent a Segway to see all the famous people all the way. Beautiful views and a lot of civil war grave stones. 2 presidents are buried here
One of the great hidden treasures of Richmond. Be sure to check out the iron dog and Monroe's grave. Great views of the James and a relaxing place to enjoy the day
Beautiful cemetery , very unique. Really neat place, make sure you have a good amount of time to spend here because there's a lot of cool stuff to see.
Follow the blue line on the road , US President James Monroe and John Tyler are buried here. So is Confederate President Jefferson Davis and many Confederate war dead. It's like Arlington Cemetery .
Drive in a ways, following the arrows. there is parking nearer to Monroe and Tyler. Walk a bit on the footpath and you will come upon Monroe (see picture).
Richmond is full of history! Come see the final resting places of many famous historical figures including 2 US presidents as well as the president of the confederate states .

Check out the Guide from your library then search for interesting gravesites . Sit overlooking the river to hear the rapids & relax for awhile. I've seen Cedar Waxwings in the hollies.
It commands an awesome view of the James River . It's quite scenic for a cemetery .
Great spot to take out of town visitors for a unique view of the river with some history on the side.
Pay respects at the graves of presidents and some of the Civil War's most famous generals. If you're not creeped out, there's a great picnic spot by Monroe's monument with a great view of the river .
Don't ask employees or volunteers to help with your amateur ghost hunting, they aren't very receptive.
