Love Cuban food but hate lines ? This is the place to go! It's like Portos but without the lines . There is a wider variety of empanadas here. The smoothies are delicious.

Traditional Cuban food at its best! Fairly priced and in my opinion more authentic and flavorful than Porto 's Bakery just down the street. The bakery is the best!

I’ve only been here for pastries . Guava & cheese is a staple and is a hit when I’m asked to bring dessert . They are slow and are usually really busy.

The best Cuban food in Downey. Very authentic . Their bakery has a great selection. I definitely recommend their Ropa Vieja and Medianoche sandwich .

The plato de lechon here is some of the most flavorful pork I've tasted from a Cuban restaurant . Highly recommend it.

The Cuban food and coffees are great. A great place to eat, talk and drink coffee . Pastries are wonderful. Family friendly .

If it's lunch time then you can go wrong with a visit to Tropicana. IMO better then Portos . Great sandwiches and dishes and exceptional desserts ! All fairly affordable too.

Absolutely amazing pastelitos de guayaba and de carne! So excited to try the Cubano sandwich and the Lechon sandwich when I go back!

The media noche has lots of meat and is very reasonable in price.

Wonderful pastries . The Black Beans and Rice is excellent. A bit of a drive from Anaheim especially during rush hour.

The ox tail and shredded pork are delicious.

How rare is it to find the famed medianoche sandwich (when not in Miami). I found it in California and its delish!!!

Their sandwiches are good. Their pastry selection is decent. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated. Their AC doesn't work quite well , making their dinning experience very unpleasant.

Very bad service from the Manager and Owner,found a piece of fingernail inside his dessert ,when I made the complaint they were telling me that it was a plastic peace ,they gave me very bad attitude

Not as good as portos but very close! They close at 10pm on Sundays. Perfect!

The pastry cases look good but you have to try the delicious tamales here. Go for my favorite chicken or cinnamon raisen!
