The food was perfect and the beer was fantastic. The band on stage was so goood, everybody was cheering and the vibe just feels so right for it to be a place stay out with friends and Family.
A good place to spend the night in Sydney! The pork knuckle is good and the mango beers is amazing. I love the lowenbrau beer too! However the bald waiter outside needs to chat less and smile more.
The platter for 2 is enough for 4 people as you get different sausages , pork knuckle , mashed potato . The German band was good since it was Australia Day they were doing mostly Australian songs .
My schnitzel and potato salad was pretty good. Not the cheapest and quite loud but it is hard to find a decent schnitzel in Sydney!
Get the Franziskaner Hefe Weissbier Dunkel...because this is the best German beer on the menu...(recommend by a real German) :) ....get the 1L for a real German feeling :)
The Löwenbräu Original and Dunkel (shown here) are both excellent beers to try while in Sydney!
Great choice of biers and best German food in Sydney. I prefer coming for lunch as it's less busier than dinner
Great atmosphere with good hearty Bavarian food and beer . Do a 1L if you can (it's a whole different experience!).
Nice place to drink good beer , but I thought I would find "Eisbein" on the menu and it wasn't there. Nice environment and good music too!
Pork Knuckles is a must try! Great food and ambience. ????????????????
Inside table a must to enjoy live "Oktoberfest" entertainment, atmosphere ++ with great service & traditional German beer house cuisine!.
Awesome German Bar with amazing Chicken Snitzels and Live Music with amazing Brews
All the food is good, and service is great. But... it is a little pricey due its location (many tourists ).
Whoa! The Pork Knuckle is an enormous amount of meat! Be hungry, or plan to share…
Fun place, German beer , huge glasses of coke and lots of pork . Nothing special re service or food quality, just a place to enjoy and relax.
good if you like a German-like experience with a band, lots of meat and big beer glasses. But generally beer is quite poor quality and the meals are heavy and fatty. Gets quite crowded and noisy
Best feeling place, makes me feel like I'm in Germany again! Just sit back and soak in the atmosphere....nuff said
My schnitzel was not bad and they brought water out for my dog without being asked ????
The only reason to come here is the German style interior and beers . Nothing special about it but it is located in a good spot and you can easily hop once you're done.
Schnitzel was nice but could have been served with a sauce, even some lemon wedges (set menu for group dining)
The entertainment is great. They do litre pints here too and they have happy hours where 500ml is only 7.50
Big beers , big food, big fun! An unapologetic authentic German pub .
A classic from the area. The sharing dish is gorgeous, if you're 4 just order a 3 people serve
It's Oktoberfest at the moment till the start of November! Shows, competitions and with happy hour from 4-6pm everyday, some Löwenbräu Originals are fantastic to get you going. 9/10/10
The pork knuckle was so good and huge!
Beware: Schnitzels are not European quality. Too dry and overcooked. Fun place but rather a tourist trap. Views to Sydney Harbour Bridge from terrace . Good service .
It's always fun to drink and eat at our little German alley :)
If you're not much of a beer fan, get one with limonata. Awesome taste! And of course, you have to have a pretzel .
Had a fantastic waitress who took photos for us and put up with the table behind us groping her so she could the photos of us... Tip well please
I always enjoy a beer here but it's pricey !
Brilliant salads here for whole food or raw food eaters to fit in with all the carnivores. :))
You have to stop for a beer ! A classic in Rocks
Large portions of German food and beer . They forgot our pretzel but wasn't on bill so that's okay. Staff seem to be stressed and unfriendly but admitted it was busy.
Try the Pork Knuckle - Holy hell - even the 'half' was giant. Delicious and great flavor in the pork !
Do not leave without tying the mango beer ! #lowenbrau
Uber Bar upstairs is a good place to get away from the crowd. Read more
Nice but expensive German beers . Pork belly was very tasty although not a patch on the blonde Australian girl dressed up like a German maiden at the door!
Very touristy but the food is hearty and the beers are big.
Get the pork knuckle . If you love food… get it!
If you're brave, try the meat platter
The best "Apfelstrudel" :P in Sydney lol
Love the beer with lemon ... Forgot the German name... Don't miss it!!!
Pork Knuckle is awesome!
Food great here for a cold winter's night. I recommend the mid size beer . I recommend the happy hour from 5 - 6pm.
Mango beer , hot chocolate and the pork ribs is a must
Burger and chips is brilliant.
Clarinets and Piano Accordians in Lederhosen ..... Great accompaniment to a Friday arvo beer
Food is decent, but overpriced. Beer is likewise expensive , although German tap beer is difficult to come by in Sydney. Wait staff are not necessarily German.
Try the mango weizen . It's a hefeweizen with mango juice !!
You don't go there for the food - fun if you want to drink and party. Food tasted as if it had been pre made and then reheated hours later. Would not go back for dinner .
I love the large choice of Beer and wine. My favourite dish off the menue is definately oven Baked Schnitzel. - bellahairchic
The tasting platters are great value and can be shared between 2. Or just have the fabulous pork belly all to yourself. - Peter Young
Awesome cocktails - ordered some dumplings and they were blue (and tasty)! - Sammy B
Absolutely an amazing complex! Its history is unique. Guided tour is essential. Right after the tour you have a discount for a show! I had a chance to watch Tosca! - Suna A.
cute mini monet cupcakes, yummylicious choice of food on Fridays. worth a visit even if it's for the atmosphere. - Lorraine
