Easygoing atmosphere that makes it one of the few places to actually hang out in Croydon. Great food and drink with loads of creative events going on on premises. The best place to be imho!

It is a lovely very unusual place. Staff is always happy to see you, always smiling and providing an excellent service. This place has got an amazing geeky atmosphere.

Best coffee place in Croydon. Forget Starbucks et al. Leave the beaten path and try this utterly charming coffee/theatre/gallery space

Matthews Yard is a Brewhouse, Co-Working Space and Lounge in the heart of Croydon. It offers high speed internet and networking, great coffee and a place to relax . It opens in April 2012.

Lovely place , especially for Croydon . A shame they don't serve breakfast in the week which is exactly when I would come in here . The chairs at the shelf tables need to be more ergonomic too.

Great space, adequate/good coffee , variety of spaces and seats. They sometimes have live music that can be too loud .

Everything is a delight. Good coffee (knocks that Starbucks muck out of the park ), cakes & #veggie flatbreads . Go on, go in, and eat and drink.

Nice hipster little place. Do gluten free stuff , almond milk , organic vegan cakes ... That kinda vibe!

Good portion sizes (huge cappuccino ) and vegetarian options , but perhaps fairly limited menu options, given that, the wait time from ordering is therefore surprising

A likeable work spot and change of surroundings. Important to break free of the Old St bubble and exist in a normal place sometimes.

Burger and Beer currently available. Pretty tasty vegetarian option available.

Try the waffles - while the seasonal berries might not be quite so seasonal, they're still pretty decent.

Turkish flat bread with parma ham and mature cheddar...ace! (And its huuuuge)

They brought out our sandwiches at the same time but gave mine to another table, so I waited over 40 minutes! They did offer a refund at least. The place looks great but doesn't really live up to it.

how this place gained all the positive comments on here? Empty cups all over the tables to be picked up. Great coffee ? Ive been served watered espresso when i asked double espresso .
