Poor Phil's Bar & Grill

The name's deceiving-food was great (lobster roll & Cobb salad ), drinks were amazing(strwbry shortcake & raz daiq), patio was gorgeous, srvice was attentive & prices were fine. But-Skip the calamari .

Catty boy with a side of creamed spinach . OMG!! So good. Washed down with Krombacher, Pilsner Urquell or the many many local brews . this place is awesome, & friendly . As recommended by Tgirlat60 :-)

I love Poor Phil's. The wait staff are mediocre as is the food. But they have the best beer list outside of Chicago. Hands down best place for a casual beer in Oak Park.

I can never decide among the dozens of draft beers and the nice waitstaff are always kind enough to let me taste before I choose.

I can't believe this hasn't been recorded yet: Ladies, enjoy the mostly nude posters of male models in the bathroom . Sorry guys, but (my husband tells me) there's nothing similar in the men's room.

TERRIBLE service. Slow and inattentive to guests. Lots of beer but doesn't really make up for rudeness. Never been to a worse spot for a bite and drink. DON'T GO.
