Excellent food for an excellent cause. The renovations are great - lots of room, bright light, even a courtyard .

Get out of the quarter and take a ride in the 91 bus in Esplanade. Drops you off right in front of this cafe . About 10-15 minute bus ride from the quarter.

The shrimp and okra is always my favorite. I'd order it as a meal if I could!

Watch the neighborhood - i had a used syringe on the sidewalk by my car when returning to it.

Order the fried catfish with baked macaroni . You can't go wrong with this choice.

The catfish with crawfish sauce was amazing -- gumbo the best!
