Friendly , delicious and festive . Great prices and the best Steak Picado I've ever found in L.A. Varied menu and prompt service make this a must for Mexican cuisine .

El Portal is one of those places where everything is good. Their margaritas are stupendous. For outstanding flavor, try the lomo saltado . Chips and salsa are top notch. Also, the mariachis rock.

Shrimp tostada is excellent, Pannucho's are the bomb mchaca con Huevos are my husbands favorite. Great margarita , lovely staff and family owned and run.

If the seasonal gazpacho is available, have it, as it is wonderful.

Love the margaritas , the shrimp enchiladas and the outdoor setting . Best Mexican food in Pasadena.

The Yucatan Trio was filling but underwhelming in flavor. If you aren't sure what to try though, it is a good sampler of their Yucatan inspired cuisine.

Good food, good live music , and a great atmosphere. Real plantitas at every table. The owner Abel is a sweetheart too.

Enchiladas de mole was decent. The margarita tasted watered down and the chips needed salt.
